"The owner or manager suggested the regular spicy sandwich rather than the ghost pepper because their sauce is made in house and actually spicier!! Great recommendation I appreciated the effort..."

Only been once but the atmosphere was fantastic both inside and on the patio would give it 10 stars if I could. The food was pretty good I tried the lamb burger and it was delicious. The fries are pretty decent and there served in cute little fry baskets. If you're in the area please check it out you won't regret it.

I had not been at the Snug since 2020. Very happy to report that the food, service and atmosphere is the same wonderful thing that it was back then. I had the battered burger, my friend, the beef pie and the fried calamari. All the plates were excellent!! Flavours amazing. Ignore the negative reviews. Definitely written by trolls. I live in Toronto and it is worth the drice to Newcastle.

Nice atmosphere. Great service. Unfortunately the bill was much higher than I expected. 10.99 for a small basket of sweet potato fries that was not listed on the menu. I was shocked. Crab cakes were ok. Not what I expected.

A cute ( appropriate) hide-out Irish pub with great food and home brewed beer. At last a decent and scrumptious Irish stew...to satisfy your pallet and a toffee pudding to bring the curtains down. Friendly staff and a cozy ambience for a special date! They have a hidden back room for private parties, that could accommodate upto 25 people. Sooo glad I made the stop!

Pretty good food and ambience. Mussels are a bit over cooked and the broth quite salty. Penne with chicken is generous but the pasta wasn’t al dente. Lamb stew was alright but the asparagus were quite burnt. The garlic bread was good texture although not very garlicky. The haddock was the best with a light and crispy batter. Sweet potato fries were better than the regular fries but they cost $3 more. We sat at the side patio where they have the Titanic theme decorations. Seating is a bit tight though service is good.

I am very exceptionally pleased with my experience. I left another local restaurant to come here, and the food service and atmosphere were beyond expectation. We were seated right away and drinks were at the table in 2 minutes. Waitress was friendly and on the top of her game. Food was great, good quality and portion size. 110% Recommend and return!

We were recommended this place by a stranger and do not regret going! We sat on a cozy side patio with lovely live music. The food was good, the place was very well decorated and nothing was overpriced. I would go again.

This place has such an amazing cozy warm vibes. And the food was outstanding. We took portobello mushroom sandwich and Irish whiskey stake - what a burst of flavours! And our sweet server, Sue, was fantastic too. We are coming back again for sure.
