I've known the family since I was a teen. Now 52. Best fish and chips period! It doesn't matter if you're 6 or 60 you are treated like family!

After being greeted cheerfully when entering, we learned the restaurant was celebrating 40 years in business!! We had takeout and enjoyed it immensely The fish is wonderful here. After cleaning the dinner table, I came upon the bag the fish came in. See attached photo Happy 40th Anniversary Thistle Fish and Chips!!

Didn't actually eat in but giving 5 stars for atmosphere anyway because in my 14yrs in Canada these are best haddock and chips I've had, UK native, very happy. Will see you again.

Finally they open up again for lunch. We always love their Haddock and chips. The batter is fluffy and crispy, not oily. Fish is thick and not fishy. Good amount of fries and crispy. Fresh coleslaw. Friendly waiter and fast service.

Delicious food and great service here. Was in July 27 and there was a gentleman who had stopped by, not to eat but for a glass of water and a chat. He had special needs it seemed and knew the ladies who worked there. The patience and kindness shown to this gentleman made my heart melt. Plus, the fish was amazing and the fries delicious. The tea was on point too which is a rarity in restaurants. So glad to have visited.

Huge portions at a good price. Crispy fish and chips are a must. Recommend the Haddock. They give a nice big fillet. Friendly staff and good service. The kitchen is pretty quick. Clean facility. The dining area is pretty neat and the decor is nice. Call ahead for a pick up order. Plenty of parking. The lot is difficult to navigate when exiting.

The best fish and chips I have had yet, to date! I drove from Mississauga and I would 100% do it again. I'm craving it since I had it from 2 weeks ago; batter was perfect, fish was perfectly cooked. I didn't even need a fork, it flaked apart with my fingers! Portion was great, too. My service was also very friendly :) Already recommended
