Sotiris Greek Restaurant

I was here 4 years ago and it was incredible. Not sure what happened this time but everything was less than 50% of what it used to be. Salad was still good, souvlaki was oversalted and rubbery tasting, just awful, as was the calamari. Hard to get attention of the waitress who didn't smile either. Plaster is falling off the ceiling, noticed the return vents have so much dark dust on them you can imagine what your breathing around this place now. And it's still high price d. Come on, I don't mind paying higher prices to get this place back to what it used to be.

Not sure if it was an off night or they were understaffed, but my party of 6 dined here for three hours, instead of what we thought would be a normal 1.5/2hr dinner. We were seated and did not greeted by our server for half an hour. She checked in once in a while, each time dropping off drinks, bringing an app or two, but would return in ~ 20 minute increments. I ordered the caesar salad with a side of gyro and the gyro was good but the salad tasted “wet” for a lack of a better word and the croutons tasted stale. The greek flag drink was pretty good. However, expected more for what seemed to be a highly recommended restaurant.

Saganaki opa (pictured) is a must at Sotiris! Our server was very nice and left us alone to enjoy our time--no pressure to order more. The restaurant is very spacious, neat, tidy and clean. Food was very tasty and priced mid-range. Definitely will be going back!

Went here for the first time on Monday craving some Greek food and I was blown away. They gave us a great quiet booth. We had a few servers helping us and they were all so friendly and patient with us as we were taking our time with ordering. Seriously great staff. I cannot say enough good things about the food as well, everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, well cooked. The village salad was so tasty as well as the dips and the platter, really enjoyed the lamb and gyro. Good wine selection and very reasonable prices were a bonus. We will definitely be coming back.

Started with the flaming cheese appetizer, very rich flavour and was a cool experience. Got the peppercorn chicken and was very flavourful. Only issue was the speed of service as it took us 30 min to get our drinks and 2hours to complete our meal due to the speed at which it came out

Lots of parking space and a fairly large restaurant. Absolutely love the interior design. The staff is phenomenal and very friendly. The grilled octopus lacks flavour and I don’t recommend it for the price ($22 this day). However, the seafood platter for two is a very good portion size and everything within it was very hot and fresh with different flavours all around. I definitely recommend ordering platters and sharing with your table. Would definitely come back.

Came to this site per recommendation of a Greek lady. My first impression was very positive but started coming down as time elapsed. On the positive side the service was good. Our waitress came several times to find out if we needed or wanted something else. The food was good. On the things to improve, first is the time to bring us the food. It was longer than expected. We were told by the waitress that they were very busy but there were a lot of empty tables. Note that the restaurant is big. Another area of improvement is the noise level, not only from other customers but also from the kitchen, which is very annoying. I went to the men's washroom and the ceiling has several spots with evidence of a serious humidity problem, which denotes lack of care in maintenance.
