The Boondocks Eatery

Food was fabulous, service was the same. Shared a plate of Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Momma Burger with Kettle Chips. Had a dark red ale, ice water with lemon and the chocolate bread pudding with sauce, whipped cream, strawberries and both chocolate and caramel topping speaks for itself. First time going. Plan to return. Everyone we know says the same thing. Close to home and by the lake. Excellent!

I really enjoyed my food - it tasted good but not spectacular. Very good value though given the price full lunch meals with drinks and coffee was $80 tax and 20% tip included. I got the daily special - which I would recommend as good value and tastes pretty good but it's not on the menu so I did not have the opportunity below to recommend it on the Google review. The patio had some tables in the sun but most were covered which is not the best for late September - from the patio you could not see the lake very well at all - mostly cars in the parking area.

We had a great lunch at The Boondocks Eatery. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere indoors was relaxed and comfortable. They have a beautiful patio which we wished we could have dined on, but it was full. My husband and I enjoyed the lobster sandwich and grilled peach salad. Definitely a great place to dine! It was packed, and several people were arriving and trying to claim a parking spot even as we were leaving by 2:30 pm.

We ordered three appetizers and three main courses, but none of them met our expectations. The fries looked like they were leftovers from the previous night. Overall, it was a total waste of money. The only good thing about this place was the location and friendly staff.

I got the momma burger and honestly wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The burger was juicy, the peach an amazing addition alongside the grilled onions. I highly recommend this if you're feeling a burger with something different. Lots of fries as a side and I couldn't finish it, so good portions, good food, and an attentive waitress. I will preface this by saying the wait is really really long, we got in at around 7 and food arrived an hour and half after. That's why I gotta dock it a star. Without the long wait 4 stars for shre. The view is amazing though, so if you're fine with the wait it's a good spot to relax and grab something to eat. Also they do a mocktail if you ask and it's amazing.

Tried the establishment for the first time based on good reviews. Drinks were great and well priced with plenty of variety of drinks and food. Food was good but came out not as hot as expected, it seemed that the food sat for a bit before delivered to our table. We ate it because we were really hungry. I mentioned this to our server and she was sure to take care of our bill. Hoping to go back and have a better experience next time.

Nice ambiance. The server who served us was really very good. Appreciate her hospitality but the one who greeted us wasn't pleasant. She even never smiled at us and said all the tables inside were reserved where as we were there for around 1.5 hrs and noticed that they were empty through all the time. This part was disappointing since it was hot outside and we had to choose outdoor for eating. We ordered Fish and chips where fish was a bit smelly. Chicken fingers were good and the burger was good too. We also ordered butter chicken which was a bit watery gravy. Just a feedback in case anyone likes thicker creamy gravy for butter chicken. Overall due to the location I liked it but certain things the owners or managers should take in account for better service.
