Amazing place! I love how it is small and the staff are so welcoming and attentive to the customers. I have had sushi before but this was hands down the freshest, best quality sushi I have ever had. Thank you for a great experience! We will be back and recommend your restaurant to anyone who likes quality food from a restaurant that cares about the customer experience.

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were shocked of how small the portions are in comparison to the prices. The food was fresh, however when you spend $260+ and you leave hungry!! That’s an issue especially when there was nothing special or unique about the menu, the rolls or the atmosphere. This is not a fine dining restaurant. Go to Hoseki. You are better off spending $300+ but getting great flavours, amazing quality, delicious rolls and delicious sashimi. Not worth it in my opinion plus we waited so long for appetizers only to get kids size food lol.

Portions were small in my opinion but the fish is so fresh that it’s worth it. No weird chemical smell you get from other sushi places. Next time I’ll be dining in because the atmosphere seemed great. Dynamite roll was great

An amazing dining experience, getting to watch the chefs, handcraft everything in front of you then tasting how it melts in your mouth. Everything was delicious nothing disappointed the Gyoza is an amazing pick if you want to fill up fast. While, the meatballs are so hot and steamy. Sashimi is so fresh. Every bite of sushi was just perfect. Will most definitely be here again.

We had the Omakase for our anniversary dinner. We were very excited to be able to go to a more upscale Japanese restaurant in Burlington. We usually head to places in Toronto to eat fancier Japanese and we loved every bite. The Chawanmushi (savoury egg custard dish) was divine & we ate some dishes that we'd never had before. I especially loved the soup in the ironstone teapot. The sushi was also amazing. Would definitely come back & bring people. Elegant & simple decor and nice service. The quality is reflected in the pricing and should not be compared to the run of the mill sushi restaurants that are usually found in Burlington. (which we also enjoy for our regular sushi cravings). If you looking for a authentic Japanese food, I highly recommend coming here.

A little bit pricer than neighboring restaurants who offer the same level of quality and cuisine. We didn't try tbe sushi but we had unagi don (kabayaki grilled eel on rice) and I have to say that this is a dish that I order often whenever I find it on the menu and this one tasted different, I think there's a spice that they've used that other places don't usually use. My partner loved their unagi don. We had miso soup that was very heartwarming and needed on a cold gloomy day. We also tried their spinach salad, nothing really special about it. Also their seafood salad that was very average. Staff was very friendly, fast, and professional. Thank you.

If I have to rate kitchen menu only then I can give 5 stars. I visited here for the sushi but the quality wasn't good comparing to other Japanese restaurants with similar price range. Appetizers and hot dish were amazing. Octopus tempura was especially very soft and tasty. Miso marinated black code melted in my mouth. But again, this is sushi place and I want them to be better. I'd love to try their omakase next time.

Excellent is the word that best describes this place. Decor and atmosphere are pleasant, the food is authentic, and delicious. The prices are appropriate given the quality of the ingredients and the final product. (Update): 5 Years on, this restaurant is still delivering consistently delicious, well-made, authentic Japanese cuisine, and I can't wait to come back again.
