The Judge & Jury

We came for Gluten Free Mondays, which I'm so pleased to know exists! My friend, who is celiac, suggested this for us to go to. They clean all of the fryers and dedicate the whole kitchen to a gluten free and celiac friendly menu! We ordered 2 Shephard's Pie, side Poutine, side Caesar Salad, and a Fried Chicken sandwich. Food was excellent, and the service was above and beyond friendly!

The Judge in Jury is a fantastic restaurant with a dedicated gluten-free menu on Mondays. We were able to enjoy delicious gluten-free options, including a fantastic burger with a hand-made patty and delicious mash potatoes and gravy. The fish and chips were also excellent, reminiscent of a classic English pub. The Reuben sandwich featured generous amounts of Montreal smoked meat. The staff is incredibly friendly and clearly takes pride in the restaurant. We highly recommend The Judge in Jury and look forward to returning soon.

This pub has definitely become my favorite pub in Burlington; they offer great variety of shareable dishes, burgers and sandwiches, salads and pasta. The drinks menu also covers everyone’s preferences. The vibe is lively and many people come here to enjoy gatherings with family and friends. The owners deeply care about providing great quality and tasty food for their guests. And the service is fast and efficient. We ordered “Judge’s Cobb Salad”, “Roast Beef Yorkies”, “Coconut Shrimp”, “Judge’s Pad Thai”, “Judge’s Baja Fish Tacos”, “Judge’s Reuben Club Sandwich” and “Judge’s Fried Chicken Sandwich”. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasted amazing. The Fried Chicken Sandwich included a huge piece of chicken and was enough for 2 people. Reuben Club Sandwich was so tender and flavourful and the melted cheese was an amazing addition to it. Fish taco and coconut shrimp were fresh and tasty. And Pad Thai was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. I would definitely want to come back to try more of their delicious menu items.

Wow! Great service, especially when our server recommended the half portion of nachos (pictured). Half price wine on Wednesday night. Great value. The place was packed! We will be back.

Not one to leave reviews, but had a wonderful time with my Family here while visiting in the Burlington area. The atmosphere while being waited on at the bar by Dale Murphy, while waiting for seating made it feel like Home! The customer service, as well as the food were top notch!!! Highly recommend their Fried Chicken sandwich with the addition of bacon per their recommendation. Thanks for the wonderful dining experience with my Family!

Always a great meal at the Judge. We ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Judge’s Naan Club with French Onion Soup, both were perfect! The Ravioli was filled with fresh, flavorful ingredience that was very tasty. The Club had a awesome combination of fresh toppings (of goat cheese, avocado, mixed, greens, roasted red pepper etc) that resulted in a definite must have sandwich, and the FOS was right up there as well. Thanks to the Judge and the great staff!

Absolutely a wonderful stop traveling to Toronto. The Roast Beef Yorkies were superb! The Guinness was poured perfectly and gave me nostalgia from Ireland. Lovely pub that I would recommend to anybody.

Judge and Jury Gastropub: A Great Alehouse with Room for Improvement I recently visited Judge and Jury Gastropub, an Alehouse known for its British pub staples and globally inspired dishes. My experience was enjoyable overall, though there were a few areas for improvement. Ambience and Service: The ambience of Judge and Jury is inviting and comfortable, perfect for a laid-back evening with friends or family. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Drinks: The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the beer selection. Judge and Jury offers an impressive array of craft beers, each one better than the last. Whether you're a fan of IPAs, stouts, or lagers, there's something to satisfy every palate. Food: The food was a mixed bag. Some dishes were outstanding, while others fell short of expectations. Hits: - The shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. - The onion rings were crispy and flavorful, making them a perfect accompaniment to our drinks. - The nachos were another standout, loaded with toppings and bursting with flavor. - Fish and chips were lipsmacking Misses: - The burger, unfortunately, didn't live up to the mark. It lacked the juiciness and flavor that one would expect from a gastropub of this caliber. - The Reuben sandwich was also disappointing. The meat was dry, and the sandwich overall was quite underwhelming. Overall Rating: 4/5 Despite the inconsistency in the food, the exceptional beer selection and the overall atmosphere make Judge and Jury Gastropub worth a visit. If they can elevate the quality of their dishes to match their drinks, this place could easily become a top destination for food and beer enthusiasts alike. I'll definitely be back for the beers and those amazing shrimp tacos!
