Our family of 4 visited Squires for dinner. Atmosphere is cute, they have lots of big screen T.V.'s for watching sports. The food was ok. My husband and son had one of the double burgers and they loved it. I had the shepherd's pie and it was ok. The beef was in chunks, I would have preferred for it to be broken up more. On top of the potatoes was melted cheddar cheese. I did not like this and so I took the cheese off with a fork. My daughter had the fish and chips. Fries were very good and the fish was large and meaty. Drinks were quite expensive. They do, however, have 1/2 priced select bottles of wine every Thursday.

Nice brunch with friends. We ordered close to noon on the weekend and we're told it was only a brunch menu. 40 minutes later people are getting burgers. It would have worked for us if we were told that. Not a big deal. Still a very enjoyable experience.

Fell well short , while visiting Burlington and using google the paid ad service was for this restaurant and after a quick review and the fact it was 4 minutes away we ventured in. First there was no greeting at door, which on the surface was no big deal we seated ourselves at a table for two close to the bar and although the table was dirty the assumption was it would be clean when one of the staff members attended. Within a reasonable time we were attended to drinks we served and the drink Guinness I was served overflowed onto the table leaving a puddle and I was told it would be cleaned up perfect I thought the table can be too. After waiting 5 minutes and not wanting to get my clothes soiled I went and found spray and a cloth cleaning not only the spill but the table myself. The waiter noticed this as I placed it on the bar but without apology for lack of attention just continued on their work. At this point honestly this didn't really bother me having had family work in the service industry I get it, it's busy and it appears they are short staffed so why not help and not get frustrated. The food was served and it was delicious no complaints on that department. We were not approached to get another drink order until after we had eaten by now I could tell the server attention to the job was lacking as she had spent as much time talking about other things to one person at the bar than focus on customers. When she came back to the table we just requested the bill, when she return she said " check the bill if there is anything on there incorrect let me know" An odd statement given my years in age and many times eating out. On review my spouses order was entered incorrect or as we thought. When it was pointed out we were given the reason was my wife had ordered from the lunch menu and it was too late. It was 3pm! Huh! Ok we all get different menus at different times , but usually when that error occurs it's pointed out as it's ordered not after it's made and eaten and then something that is almost double the price added to the bill. I mean it was entered into the iPad surely the software would reject a lunch menu item outside the lunch menu hours thus not allowing it. I looked at her with disbelief and said that's fine. I paid the bill in fully no tip! Which is something I've maybe done three times in my entire life because even when serves fall short most often you can tell it's a staffing issue. This one was on her quality of service and staffing. So the short comings : No welcome at the door! Dirty table , spilled drinks not cleaned! Minimal table service! Deceiving billing practices! The upsides: Beautiful appointed restaurant Good quality food

Made reservations for “Breakfast with Santa” on Dec 22. The page on their website site said: “Enjoy a delicious spread of unlimited items with Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, toast, fresh fruit platter, cookies, waffles, French toast, hash browns, and mini muffins.” We were excited for this experience at Squires. When we showed up though, there was no delicious spread. There were no unlimited items. There was a black and white printed or photocopies piece of paper with two breakfast choices for adults, and two for kids. They served juice in juice boxes. They served coffee from a giant coffee carafe in paper cup. The cutlery was disposable. This was an absolute embarrassment if you were the owners of this establishment. The eggs were not fresh cooked, and you only had the option of scrambled. There was no choice of toast. The toast was not even buttered. The kids couldn’t get bacon with their meals. I am highly disappointed of the false advertising from Squires on what they said we’d get versus what we actually got. I can understand if they realized, “wow, we undercharged for this last weekend and we are totally under water on this meal.” Cool, send us an email with the updated plan and give us the OPTION to get our money back if we chose not to come. Or, just tell us the plan has changed period, and help us set expectations with the family that came. In the end the value for money was still fair. $25 for an adult, $15 for a kid, including seeing Santa, and a magician coming around to the table, it was fair, it just wasn’t a good meal, nor was it what we paid for. The new look of squires is absolutely beautiful, but after three times coming here, and never being impressed with the menu or the food, I won’t be coming back. It’s called a gastro pub now and there’s nothing gastro about the experience. It’s still crappy pub food.

The place was amazing. The environment at the restaurant is beyond the expectations. The drinks menu has plenty of options available. Service was great. The only disappointment was the food. The taste of the food was not great. I think they need to work on that.

Food a bit pricey, but good. Big menu. Would be nice if there was just a good, plain burger option. Had the “Juicy Lucy” burger which was a double Pattie! Luckily my server, Kim, cautioned me on the size of the meal. Well, I have half my meal in a box for takeout. Thanks Kim!

Last minute dinner plans and decided to visit Squires since the recent re-opening. So glad we went. They were not very busy for a Saturday night but hopefully that will change. The renovation is lovely and this is not a basic pub anymore. Great spot for a casual or a nice dinner or drinks. Roomy velvet banquets, huge screen and great bar. We ate on patio. Service was very good. Food was very good with fair portions. Only complaint is $22 for a 9 oz glass of basic Sauvignon Blanc. Wine could be better for that price. Ordered salmon, butter chicken and Mac and cheese. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will definitely be back.

A great spot for some good Irish Pub food and excellent East Indian fare as well! A nice sized well appointed patio with lots of seating to accommodate many guests. The interior is typical pub style with nice accents. The food is served plentiful and hot. I’d recommend the chicken fingers for their taste and size and the Curry dishes and spot on!
