Rowdy Bird Chicken and Smash Burgers

November 3, 2024 - been here a few times, this is one of the best chicken burgers I’ve ever had. Love the Hot Honey Sauce. The chicken is cooked perfectly! The wait times are long. Even if you don’t see anyone in the store. Others have already ordered online or ahead of time. I’d recommend you doing the same. We probably waited 30mins or so. But we told the worker that we would go across the street to the grocery store and come back. So he can take his time and not feel rushed.

One of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had probably the top if it’s just within the Durham region. The chicken fingers were a let down but apparently they are also popular (maybe a certain way to ordering it)…curly fries were jus ok felt kind of greasy. The chicken burger though that was really good! I got it as the hot honey option I think which was extra however you need to try that version. It’s a pricer sandwich but def worth a try and the size makes up for that…good customer service as well, the lady was good to deal with however it takes some time to prepare (about 15-20mins) so keep that in mind. 4.5/5

I was trying this place for the first time and since there was a lot of good reviews on the big rowdy (honey hot) i was so excited to try it. The sandwich wasn’t a disappointment. It was actually amazing! The breaded chicken piece wasn’t oily at all, it was dipped in a honey hot sauce mixed with the coleslaw flavour made the sandwich very juicy and tasty. You will definitely feel the heat but you’ll enjoy it for sure. As for the garlic parmesan wings they were ok nothing special but I’ll definitely go back for the big rowdy sandwich.

Awesome chicken. Big pieces, juicy and lots of good taste. We had the Big Rowdy sandwich and it was quite big and quite tasty. Wings were excellent as well. We had the Smokey bbq and they were tasty and a good size. Staff was friendly and store looked clean and bright. Highly recommend.

The food is amazing. The quality of chicken is like no other place in the area. Its truly juicy and the sandwich was really good too. Got the 3 piece chicken and a sandwich rowdy spice and will definitely try other things on the menu in future. Worth the wait. Must try. Kudos for the great service too. Keep up the good work.

A solid 3.5 from me. I was really excited to try out this new restaurant in Durham when I first heard about it online. This is 1 of 2 locations in the GTA ( the other being in Scarborough at Kennedy + Sheppard ) We ordered 3 Rowdy Original Meals and they were pretty tasty, The Chicken had a crispy crust, the bun held up so well, and their was an unexpected flavoured mayo which was really tasty! I also like the fact that they serve curly fries as their standard fries option. ( although you don't get too many pieces ) Our total bill came out to around $30 which was actually pretty reasonable for 3 people. They are pretty new, and still getting their bearings straight so be prepared to wait 30-40min for your order. Overall it was a great first experience

The best chicken sandwiches I have tried. The big Rowdy sandwich is amazing (chicken breast), curly fries are so fresh tasting. The wings with the Rowdy rub is awesome. This place is a much try! Chicken tenders are very good. There is a wait which can be 30 to 40 mins some times but well worth it. Call ahead before you go and place the order. Don't be surprised if you see a line up. Packaging and presentation is top notch. If they keep up with the standard, customer service and quality, they will have customers for life! The service at the counter is great, very friendly and courteous! All food is prepared fresh which why the delay in getting you food but you can be assured of fresh food. Chicken is halal! I just say enough good things about the food! Keep up the great quality!

Thank you to Huzaifa and the people at rowdy bird for giving me the rowdy bird experience. The food was phenomenal and the hot honey rowdy bird sandwich was fantastic, the whole combination complimented each other perfectly, not too overly sweet but still savoury with a kick. The chunks were nice and crispy and I definitely prefer the honey garlic ones 👌🏼. The 3 piece chicken was very well seasoned, super juicy. 🙌🏻
