IL FORNELLO was not only the first restaurant to bring wood-oven baked pizza to Ontario, we were also the first to offer alternative options for customers with special dietary needs like gluten-free pasta and pizza crusts, to offer menu items created from 100% local ingredients and we were the first restaurant chain to be listed as one of Toronto’s Top Ten Restaurants by Zagat Guide.

My son and I stopped by for lunch on a Friday and were absolutely blown away by the impeccable service and the truly outstanding food. Really haven’t had such a great dining experience in a long time. Simple ingredients prepared expertly and coupled with a great ambience and an amazing waitress took this to the next level. If Ajax wasn’t a long drive for us we would be back in a heartbeat. One of my highest rated reviews for a truly amazing place. Better than BP or EM in my opinion and comparably priced too!

IL Fornello is a fantastic Italian restaurant in the Durham region! Be sure to try their pizza and the butternut squash ravioli—both are must-haves! They serve amazing vegan options too.

We reserved the Library space and it was perfect for a guest count of 22 (they can even fit more guests). Nikki was helpful organizing and answering all my questions leading up to the event. When we arrive the night of, all the staff were so friendly. Mitchell took great care of us for the dinner. Food was delicious. We overall had the perfect night 😊

The food was amazing, we took a meat lasagna, one pizza margarita and another pizza (I don’t remember which one 😂) and both were awesome. Carlie was also a great waitress.

One of the best Italian food in Toronto I have ever had. Great experience. Great food. Great atmosphere. Must try place for couple fine dining. They have so many vegetarian options and vegan options. Loved their food and services. I loved the butter squash ravioli. It was too good
