Huge menu. Lots of pub food classics and plenty of seafood. Rotating specials. Everything we ordered was good. Portions are generous. Would recommend the chicken quesadilla and jaffna fries. Busy but not 100% slammed on a Friday night. Was still able to get a table for 2. Friendly staff. Prompt service. Reasonable prices. Parking lot outside. Part of a plaza/strip mall with a bunch of other businesses. Would come back!

My husband and I recently visited Portly Piper Pub in Ajax, located right on Westney Rd South. It was my first time there, and it definitely won't be my last! This cozy pub has a lovely and warn atmosphere. We received a friendly greeting at the door, and the service from all the staff was excellent. Even the owner was busy working and interacting with diners, which truly exemplified great hospitality and customer satisfaction. There was a lot of people out on a Friday night, the staff's service was impressively fast, and they worked well as a team, making everyone feel welcome and appreciated from what I experienced and observed. What I particularly admire is the generous portion sizes for the price. When my meal arrived, I was amazed by the quantity and hoped it would be just as tasty. A shout-out to the chef(s) for the delicious baked salmon and shrimp topped with mango and apple chutney, chicken souvlaki, coconut shrimp, and the best cheesecake in town! This will definitely be one of my go-to places.

My Girlfriend and I love all the restaurants owned by this family. Portley (Ajax & Oshawa), frosty John's (Bowmanville), one eyed jacks (Uxbridge & Oshawa). The food is incredible, service is great and the prices are reasonable. The Portley locations are a little noisy but we love them none the less. I highly recommend these restaurants.

It was one of my best friend's birthday and it was her wish to go visit The Portly Piper. As you entered the buzz of lively conversation greeted you. Our table was at the front with a party of 5 .We soon had our own conversation going. My friend got a surprise visit from her cousin from the US. well you can imagine the screams and hugs and loud laughter,which just blended in with the others. The layout consisted of booths which offered a measure of privacy. There were tv screens everywhere for sports fans Our Server was excellent, I forgot her name but I did compliment her. The portions size were very impressive. I didn't like the jambalaya it tasted like meat in tomato sauce over white rice. I prefer jambalaya cooked all together. Food was so much we all mixed and shared with each other. Lovely time,lovely atmosphere lovely food and lovely server thank you.

Great place to hangout with friends. Good food and drinks.I had a fantastic meal at Portly Piper on in Ajax. The restaurant has a lovely seating setting. I tried the wings and the jafna fries and both were delicious. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the flavors were amazing. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a great experience at and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and drinks in Ajax.

Portly is our go-to place for cheap meals. While serving size in other restaurants had shrunk, theirs remained at pre-pandemic level. Quality of food and service are also always excellent. No wonder it's always full. Highly recommended.

This Portly Piper is just massive inside. It is quite vibrant and loud when you first walk in. There are a couple of large areas off at either end where it is quieter. And a little hidden section off the side of the bathrooms. Their food and drink selection is large. We were there on Wednesday when appetizers were 30% off after 5 pm. Everything we had was tasty. My top 3 for the night were the lobster crab dip, fried cheese curds and either the fried calamari or coconut shrimp. Their drink prices were reasonable. Their service was friendly and efficient. I recommend this pub.

The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, the drinks were expertly crafted, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor, and the service was attentive and friendly. It's the perfect spot for a night out, whether you're grabbing a bite or just enjoying great drinks with friends.
