Jin's Mi-Fen (Ajax Authentic Hunan Style Rice Noodle )津米粉馆

We're still raving about our dinner at Jin's Mi-Fen in Ajax! The Signature Beef Double Up M1 was love at first bite - the textures and flavors were incredibly rich and satisfying. And the shrimp spring rolls? Crispy perfection! The restaurant itself was cozy, with great service and a clean environment. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Definite recommend!

A missing part of Ajax we never knew we needed! After their year anniversary, I couldn't be any happier. A Chinese Noodle/Rice soup place that keeps it simple, yet feels so unique in its place. You can never go wrong with picking any dish, as each will take you on its own adventure!

A different tasting Chinese food, Hunan style. Flavorful and a definite place to go to for noodles. Not a traditional Chinese restaurant and menu but worth a try with the family.

This place was amazing! The food was delicious, and there is so much selection. I had the braised beef noodles, and I finished all of it in one sitting. I love the atmosphere — the concept is unique. There is plenty of seating, a claw machine, ice cream area, and a food ordering area. Highly recommend!

Never had a bowl of noodles served so fast at a dine-in restaurant. Self order on a QR code, waitress brought out the noodles in 2-3 minutes. Given how fast it was, seems everything was premade. Noodles were fine (ordered a non-spicy soup base), flavour on the lighter side and felt more like a cafeteria canteen experience.

Mi-fen, or Chinese rice noodles, have a history that dates back to 200 B.C. when Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, conquered the southern part of the country. Since the northern regions of China produced wheat while the southern regions produced rice, rice noodles (米粉) were invented to provide northern soldiers with a familiar food. Compared to pho, Chinese rice noodles have a softer, bouncier texture, with a plain taste and less chewiness. If you prefer chewier noodles, you have the option to choose handmade wheat noodles. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and authenticity of this place. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much authenticity from this neighborhood, but noodles were quite authentic and flavorful. The prices are very reasonable too, with a huge portion of noodles for under $15. Except maybe the Edamame for 8$. You can get 1.50$/bag from any Chinese grocery store. If you prefer a saltier and richer taste, go for the handmade noodles without soup, or with the soup on the side. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

I trusted the Google review and tried this place first time and wow, the noodles were so delicious 😋 We ordered 3 different bowls and the best one was the braised beef tomato noodle 🍜 The other two were also very tasty and I personally recommend to have the soup on the side as the noodle already has flavor and it is enjoyable as it is. Once you add the soup, it changes the flavor and becomes super delicious!

So happy to find an amazing authentic noodle spot in Ajax of all places! The restaurant is very clean and organized. The staff are very knowledgeable about all their menu offerings and had great suggestions as it was our first time. The Tomato Beef Brisket took center stage. Well prepared and seasoned perfectly. Beef was cooked excellently, seasoned and very tender and juicy. The Shrimp Spring Rolls also were a surprising crispy appetizer, love the Phyllo dough used. The Passion Fruit Boba was refreshing as well. Need to come back and try more items. A pleasant experience here. They also have a cool claw machine well worth trying out too 😊
