Delicious food. Full of powerful flavours and textures. Most items are made in house and with care. Friendly and happy service. The jerk bbq wings are so tasty and the red snapper was incredible. Will be going back more often!

The food and service was AMAZING! The Jerk Chicken was delicious and full of favour. My compliments to the chef! Mike and Antonietta's service was fantastic and so friendly. The ambiance was superb. We can't wait to go back on Saturday night for some drinks and dessert! I highly recommend Da Taste!

We had a perfect experience at Da Taste and you will too! My wife and I were looking for somewhere local to eat. We heard some incredible music playing and followed our ears to Da Taste. We learned that there is a DJ playing every Friday. We were greeted and seated quickly. The service was absolutely perfect in every way. We both ordered jerk chicken entrees. I got mine with rice and peas and coleslaw and my wife enjoyed hers with steamed vegetables. This was an incredible meal with perfect portion sizes. Everything was clearly made in house and was absolutely delicious. It was probably a medium spice level. At the suggestion of our waitress, we got the jerk gravy on the side so we could better control the spiciness. Honestly, the flavours were incredible and the spice wasn't overwhelming. For the two of us to eat, our bill was less than $50. As I mentioned previously, the portions were great and we both found that the quality and amount of food for the price was great! This was a quality meal at an affordable price. I am sure that adding alcoholic drinks and dessert, etc would raise you bill but dinner for 2 at a restaurant for what we paid was definitely affordable. The atmosphere. The food. The value. The people. The music. Just absolutely everything was perfect at Da Taste. Robyn (our waitress and new friend) was amazing and had my wife up dancing! This was a great local find and we will definitely be going back!! I could not recommend them enough. Enjoy!

My family and I traveled 1.5 hour to check out this restaurant. We waited 1 hour for our meal. We accepted that the long wait guaranteed fresh food. It was worth the wait. We ordered barbifried chicken with rice and peas, brown stew fish served with 1 Banana and 1 dumpling, curry goat served with 1 Banana, salad a serving of fried plantain. The food was delicious. However it was the worst experience in terms of service. The Barbadian waitress was abnoxious. She brought out the food and never check back to see if we were OK. My husband ordered extra dumpling and she never came back. I'm diabetic and almost passed out from waiting. When it was time to pay, she threw down the machine and never came back to see if we paid. We walked out and decided NEVER to return. The food was great but no one wants to feel so invisible. We spent $100 and left still hungry.

It's really unfortunate that I need to make this review after over a year of supporting this restaurant weekly. Their food is amazing and the restaurant is beautiful with great music. Their service however is awful and sketchy. Last month they charged me $5.25 for a side of steam veg which consisted of 4 carrots. I complained and the owner refunded saying I shouldn't of been charged that as they were out of the broccoli for the steam veg. Then yesterday we ordered three $9.99 specials .. the server asked us "jerk, bbq or fry chicken... steam veg or coleslaw... rice and peas or festival" never once advised us of the extra costs for each item. We also got one coke and rest water. After we dined I was given the machine to pay $63. I paid it and went out to car where my husband was already putting kids in the car seats. He told me to go back inside as our oldest had to use bathroom anyways and ask for clarification. They refused to give me a bill The owner immediately throws a menu in my face saying prices are subject to change anytime and screaming at me in front of my 5yr old. (I HAVE VIDEOS OF THIS) even my 5yr old was like wow she's rude. I had already paid at this point. They eventually gave me the bill which showed they charged me additional 1.50 each for steam veg, broke up the 3rd meal into individual orders and charged $18 for 6 festival. We weren't even asked how many festival we wanted. Absolutely mind blowing "service". The owner should be ashamed of herself how she treated a regular customer who has spent hundreds of dollars at her restaurant.

I was passing through town for work and decided to order from here. It did not disappoint! The portions were great. The service was awesome. The food...it is literally the best Caribbean food I’ve ever had. I got the jerk chicken and ox tail combo. The savouriness of the meat, and the perfectly made rice made me wish I lived close, so I can have it daily!

Placed an order over the phone for pick up. Was greeted as soon as I walked through, very welcoming vibe. Everything smelled amazing in there. Staff were great to speak with and picked up our hot order. Had the Chicken Roti and Jerk Chicken dinner. Good portions are huge and so damn tasty! Everything had the right bite and so glad we stopped in to check this establishment out. Great job everyone!

Da Taste was Da-Licious Based on several recommendations we decided to dine in for a Friday night dinner. We were quickly greeted and seated by a hostess. She brought us our menus and set out cutlery which came in a white linen napkin. We were informed that they were offering half price chicken wings on this night. After checking out the menu we settled on an order of the jerk BBQ chicken wings, a chicken Jamaican patty, beef Jamaican patty, fried chicken dinner and jerk chicken roti. The Jamaican patty and chicken wings were served first. It was all delicious. The chicken wings had an excellent fry on them. The jerk spice was also pretty spicy which I enjoyed. Perhaps some of the best chicken wings I had ever been served. At 1/2 price it was an excellent deal and I would have them again. Our main entrees came and everything was steaming hot. Our server let us know if we needed any extra sauce and gravy we were welcome to it at any time. The jerk chicken roti looked amazing. Had excellent flavour and seasoning. The roti itself was also delicious. The fried chicken dinner came with coleslaw, rice and beans. Everything tasted great. The coleslaw I enjoyed a lot. The rice and beans were delicious too. The fried chicken was mind blowing. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend it to all. It was like no other fried chicken I had ever had. The service was fantastic. Both servers that we dealt with were incredibly friendly and professional. Some of the best service I have had during a dine in restaurant. Overall the experience was an excellent one. I was very impressed with the food and will be returning to Da Taste for sure.
