Ban Ban was a really aesthetic spot with a fun vibe! We tried the soy garlic and yangnyeom boneless chicken—the soy garlic was definitely the winner, as the yangnyeom was a bit too sweet for me. Next time, I’d love to try the spicy version! The fries with ketchup were a nice addition and tasted really good. The boneless chicken had that delicious buldak spice aroma, which I loved. I also tried their salad, and the sweet sauce paired perfectly with the fresh greens, making it an amazing combo. Since it was my first time, I have no complaints, Alhamdullilah. The food came out quickly, and the prices were reasonable—everything came to around $60, which felt fair for the quality and amount of food. They even have a high chair for kids, which is nice for families. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m looking forward to going back!

Absolutely delicious! The soy garlic chicken was so crunchy and juicy, never had anything like it before. And rose sauce for the tteokbokki was nice and creamy and not too spicy. Our server was very friendly which made the whole evening more enjoyable. Can’t wait to try more items on the menu :)

I recently visited Banban Korean Chicken in Ajax, drawn by their claim of serving Halal meat. Unfortunately, my experience with the food was disappointing. The chicken had an odd aftertaste, almost like I could taste blood in the meat, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the red meat I tried was mostly pure fat with little to no flavor. While the chicken was glazed with sauce, it couldn’t make up for the fact that the meat itself was undercooked, oily, and fatty, with no real taste or seasoning. I had high expectations, but this was one of the worst chicken dishes I’ve ever had. I hope they improve the quality and cooking of their dishes, especially for those who come in for Halal options. It was pure waste of money and I had to throw the food in the garbage unfortunately

I had korean fried chicken at a few different places. No where compares to this spot for the yangnyeom Best ever. So tasty and crunchy. I had the bone in (includes dry white meat pieces) and boneless (all dark meat). You get much less meat with each piece. Pay $2 extra and get boneless. Such a pleasure to eat! Its expensive but worth it for a treat.

This place was recommended by a few friends. I'm really glad I tried it but won't be going back again. The girl taking orders was very friendly considering they were absolutely busy. But this meant I had to wait 30min. We had a mix of original and honey garlic and an order of large fries. If you think you are getting a lot of pieces for the price, keep in mind the pieces are small! Like really small. It appears bigger because the original is heavily battered, nice and crispy but mostly batter. We did enjoy the honey garlic much more, but not enough to go back. Fries were a disaster. Make sure to check your bill.

It is our go to place whenever me and my husband crave for korean fried chicken. Very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Highly recommended: Soy Garlic Boneless if you have a low spice tolerance.

Korean fried chicken is relatively new to Durham Region, but the KFC here did not disappoint! We got the yangyeum and the honey garlic bone-in chicken dishes and the portions were huge and super tasty, with a very crispy and saucy exterior and moist and juicy meat inside. Was really impressed by the quality and portions for the price. I’d say I liked the yangyeum sauced KFC slightly more, it was sweet and had just the right amount of slight spice for me! The interior is also very cute, with lots of throwback K-pop hits on the speakers and nice decor. Service was friendly, although I take a star off simply because they seemed short-staffed, especially with all the dine-in and delivery orders on a Saturday night, so things were a bit slow. However everything else was great and I’d definitely come back here to try their other KFC varieties and other dishes!

It was my first time a couple of my brothers and I tried Korean Fried Chicken.. and by extension, Korean Food in General before. The place was located in front of an Ajax Mosque, which was pretty cool, too! My brothers and I ordered their Yangnyeom 9 Piece and Soy Garlic 9 Piece fried chicken and they were phenomenal! It was very crispy and juicy and the flavour we adored. We also ordered their Cream and Rose Tteokbokki side dishes that were also extremely tasty and chewy! Their fries were also really good too! (We ordered way too much on the first in general, we worried we couldn’t finish it there, but we don’t regret it!) The staff were very friendly and they delivered on the food with great timing. We would definitely like to come here again! (I should add that this review should’ve been done way earlier, I forgot to do it on the 3rd when we dined. The food was still really good!😅)
