Updated review. My most recent visit to Angelique Family restaurant was to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. We ordered eggs benedict with by far the best Hollandaise sauce you can get. The poached eggs were medium with lots of yolk to spread on the peameal bacon and english muffin. The shredded potato hashbrown is addictive and massive portions. The baked beans were nice and warm to compliment your breakfast. I ordered the 3 eggs over easy with 3 sausages and 3 bacon. They actually serve 4 eggs which I assume they are using medium sized eggs. That's OK as the extra makes up for the smaller eggs. You get a choice of toast ( white, whole wheat or rye) along with shredded potato hashbrowns or home fries. My mother-in-law ordered the Western Omelet with ham and onion. She really enjoyed the dish and she managed to eat almost half of the dish. The coffee is bottomless and the service is very friendly. I suggest dressing up for the cold weather because you might have to lineup outside the restaurant. I don't think they take reservations and it's first come first serve.

A small mom and pop breakfast joint. Truly make you feel like you’re in those old movies. Food was good, a bit greasy but it’s breakfast. We love the corn beef hash on the first try. They definitely can use a better brand of hot chocolate.

Okay, seriously, hear me out. I'm 52 years old. I have eaten a LOT of breakfasts. I have never, EVER, not finished a breakfast. I got thrown out of the Golden Griddle breakfast buffet, okay? My kids yell at me at Great Wolf Lodge because I go up to the buffet 4-5 times. I LOVE breakfast. I can eat a LOT of breakfast. But this one beat me. I couldn't finish it. I got the eggs benedict, I did add some bacon on the side. And I ate one of my wife's slices of toast. But I barely finished the eggs and could not finish the home fries and bacon. I feel shame. They beat me. Food was great, I understand why people rave about this place. Staff was wonderful, they really went out of their way to be nice. Atmosphere was just what I wanted to eat a big breakfast in. Felt homey, like it had been there forever. And the portions. Something wrong with them, man, you should not give people portions like that. I mean, seriously...

Absolutely amazing! I chose to come to this restaurant on Saturday October 12th 2024 with my wonder girlfriend based off of a quick search for the “best breakfast” restaurant and immediately Angelique’s showed up so we thought we would give it a try. Immediately as we pulled into the parking lot we noticed a line of people waiting to get inside (which is a great sign!!) we waited about 20 mins to get in and immediately when we entered we were pleasantly surprised to see a very charming and country breakfast diner atmosphere with beautiful decor. I’m a cook myself and I could immediately tell that this would be a great experience….I could just feel it by seeing the way the employees were dedicated to what they were doing and the happy faces on the employees as well as the customers. We had an absolutely amazing waitress by the name of Lloydian and I could stress enough how amazing she was! She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and her top notch customer service was stunning to say the least. I ordered the extra large combo and my wife ordered the spinach omelet. When the food came to the table I could immediately tell that whoever was doing the cooking seriously knew how to cook authentic country breakfasts!! Not only were the meals huge but the quality of the food was superior!! I could not recommend this place enough! Also I must add that the prices are amazing and you get so much for your money!! I am from the states and I have been to countless breakfast restaurants but this one ranks in the top 3 that I’ve ever been to!!! I will make a trip all the way from Arizona just to eat here!!! lol I will include pics of our breakfast along with this review! Heard a lot about the breakfast spot so we came by right before 10am and waited in line for about 20 minutes. They have standard Western breakfast food and a good selection of sandwiches and specials as well. We got the 2 eggs + bacon and sausage, and a country omelette. Our food was cooked well, fresh, and it was a huge portion especially considering the price. They also threw in an extra egg, which apparently is common practice? Thanks! Service was quick and polite. Only issue is that the ventilation and exhaust is not great, so we left with our clothes and hair smelling quite greasy.

This spot has so many, many good reviews, including being highly recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, my husband and I didn't think it was anything spectacular. We got the salmon benny, extra large combination breakfast, kid's meal pancakes (added a side of bacon for my daughter), and my friend got the Hot Hamburger. Food wise, it was underwhelming for my husband and me. The portions were more than generous, however, lacked flavour in the prepared items, not the smoked meats, but things like the hollandaise sauce and pancakes. My friend really enjoyed his hot hamburger, though! I also wasn't a huge fan of the kids menu, few choices that I know my child wouldn't have eaten, thusly opted for thepancakes, which turned out to be 3 whopping pieces as big as the plate. The bench we were seated at seemed rather tattered, and the table cover itself was sticky feeling. It was also a long line/wait, outdoors. I appreciated trying out this local fave at least once, but with the long wait, interior condition, and food lacking oomph, I probably won't be returning.

What an absolutely great time and experience we had here today for brunch. Greeted by very friendly servers immediately. The place was packed but that didn't dampen our visit one bit. We were made to feel welcome and not rushed when we sat down with no idea what to order (huge menu). Steak and eggs was my choice and it was incredible. Perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Massive portion size and piping hot coffee. The shredded hashbrowns were especially delicious and the addition of baked beans to the plate is a real treat. My Mom had the combination breakfast and was equally as pleased with the quality of food and taste. I would come back here again gladly. What a gem. Make sure you're hungry if you choose to come check this spot out :) 10/10 keep up the great work! Lovely place

Hands down the BEST breakfast place in Durham region. Coming from out of town I haven’t found anything like it. The food is amazing, everything I’ve gotten is delicious, the portions are big and the service is just the best, super kind servers. I recommend 100%.
