Wanda's Caribbean Kitchen

I don't get oxtail as much as I would like where I live. That is probably a good thing, else I inflate like Violet Beauregard in a chocolate factory. Wanda's has amazing oxtail. It's rich, well seasoned, and the sauce is thick...which is oddly how I like to be described. Go for it with rice and peas, and the hot sauce. If you're feeling saucy, get extra sauce and a fried dumpling, make your time here on Earth a little more nice nice. Treat yourself well there, Pikachu. Oh and the beef patties are great too, and the BBQ chicken, and the coco bread. Yeah you now see why I can't live close to Wanda's. Wanda would make me a very big, and very happy, already large boned individual.

Some of the best food I've had in the city! We've ordered a few times now and it's always been flavorful, fresh and portioned generously. Highly recommend!

If you like carribean food,, you gotta try Wandas!!! Hands down the best Jerk in town.. there BBQ chicken is also very tasty,, don't forget the macaroni salad PS ask for their vip card, every tenth meal is free,,

out of my area but so worth the travel. We ordered 5 items. Jerk Chicken meal, 3 Roti and side of oxtail. This was sooo worth it, we all loved the Jerk .it truly was delish and delectable the Rotis had chunks of meat and also very yummy and so very filling. Hubby and Son loved the side of Oxtail. The gentleman behind the counter was just so nice, explaining and patient of our questions. Overall after jamrock ire jerk has closed we are searching for a new fav and may just have found it. 4 ppl all under $70 cant go wrong and leftovers too.

An overall great experience! The food was good, I would add a lilll more flavor to the fried chicken. All in all, we definitely enjoyed both meals, the chicken, the macaroni salad, the patties, and the drinks! A suggestion would be to take the tipping available through debit/credit. I was unable to tip because I didn't have cash. The place was good and customer service top notch!. We will be back :) Thank you!

Very lovely and welcoming folks at Wanda's. Portions are very generous and delicious. I think perhaps a little extra was added to my order as I also got a Jamaican patty that I did not order. I had the soup, what a wonderful and hearty meal on its own, and for under $10, it's a steal. Lasted me 2 days. The owner is very chatty and personable and makes you feel like a member of her family. It's just an overall nice experience.

As soon as you walk in… you really feel the love in this place. They know all their customers like friends. The staff had high energy and were just so welcoming and friendly. They have enough space for a few people to dine in which is nice. The fried chicken was juicy and seasoned so well. The Jamaican patties had a nice flavour. The crust was nice and flaky without being dry. The BBQ chicken was very flavour and mild. The oxtail gravy over the rice and peas was a hit. Honestly this place had the best rice and peas I have ever tried and I’m not a fan of rice and peas but I am a fan of theirs and will be getting it again. The Roti was incredible. It was wet and full of flavour. Definitely the best roti I’ve tried in Hamilton or surrounding areas. From now on this will be my spot for Caribbean food. I would travel far for this… but luckily I don’t have too :)!

Absolutely exceptional! I tried the Ox Tail and the dish was very delicious. The gravy had a sweet and tangy flavourful taste and the meat was falling off the bone perfect. Big recommend for lunch or dinner, they have a good variety of dishes with filling portions. Can’t wait to try all the flavours!
