Urumchi Uyghur Cuisine

Amazing lamb dishes at this restaurant. My favourite dishes here include the lamb kebab skewers (which are crazy spicy and flavourful), the lamb with pilov rice, and the yogurt with honey and dried fruits (which is best eaten cold). We also ordered the dumplings to go, but I wish that they had come with some sort of sauce to compliment the dish. All in all, a really good dinner - with plenty left over for lunch tomorrow.

We checked out Urumchi Uyghur Cuisine to try some traditional Uyghur food and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and richly flavourful. The yogurt dish with honey and dried fruit was good. The lamb kebab pieces were perfectly cooked and packed with a unique spicy umami flavour. The portion sizes were generous and the lamb was juicy and soft :) The stir fried beef noodles (small size) were good. The noodles were dense but were surprisingly great in texture and went great with the flavourful sauce. The beef was savoury and soft, just perfectly cooked. The Pilov with Lamb Shank was good. The lamb was soft and melts in your mouth. There was no gaminess to the lamb shank. Their rice was good and paired well with lamb. We wanted to try their Parmuda (Samsa) and Uyghur Mantu which is their baked meat bun and dumplings but they were sold out :( Overall, Uyghur food was unique, rich in flavour, and very filling. Would recommend to check them out if you’re looking to try a new cuisine :) Heads up, they seemed to be short staffed but the owner was friendly and good overall :)

The noodles are fresh and handmade in the restaurant, simply amazing. We have come here a few times and tried several dishes and everything is always vibrant, fresh and delicious.

Very authentic Uyghur cuisine! Super delicious and satisfying. I’ve been to other Uyghur restaurants, but definitely not as good as this one. You can tell they took a lot of time preparing their meats.

I went there on a Sunday before closing, and still they accommodated me. The food tastes and looks amazing. Very rich with flavours. I love it! Staff are very friendly, and Mr. Aleem is a wonderful chef. If you want to try the authentic Uygher cuisine, then this restaurant is a great option.

We ordered Manta and Special Lagman Been Cold Jelly, it was absolutely tasty! Highly recommend you guys the yogurt drink, super satisfying! The portion is very generous as well!! The owner Alim, and the staff were so nice!! It’s must try Uyghur cuisine in Mississauga if you haven’t try any!!

The owner and the waiter are super nice and friendly. The atmosphere and the food is just like when I was in Urumchi, Xinjiang. Definitely try the homemade yogurt, that’s one of my favorite side dish in Uyghur restaurants, can help you to digest faster and eat more.

This Uyghur restaurant is small and family own, but food is amazing 😍 and generous portions with reasonable price(compare to other Uyghur restaurant in Mississauga). We been here 2 days in the row to try different dishes. If you like Uyghur good, it's most try restaurant!
