Turtle Jack's Mapleview

I am writing to express my concerns about several issues that occurred during my recent visit to Turtle Jack’s Burlington, Ontario on Sat December 14th 2024 between 8-9pm. While dining, we observed a waitress accidentally break a glass. Unfortunately, the broken glass was not cleaned up thoroughly, which raised immediate safety concerns. Later, when my son asked for a glass of water, we were horrified to find a piece of glass at the bottom of his cup. This could have resulted in a very dangerous situation, and we were deeply alarmed. Additionally, the waitress who served us seemed rushed and inattentive, giving us the impression that she did not have time for us or our concerns. To make matters worse, we overheard other staff members openly complaining about the French-speaking customers they were serving, which was highly unprofessional and left a negative impression of the overall service. While we understand that restaurant work can be demanding, basic safety protocols, professional conduct, and attentive service are critical. I wanted to bring these matters to your attention so they can be addressed appropriately. I also emailed head office but got no response. I trust that you will investigate this incident and take the necessary actions to ensure better safety measures, improved staff training, and a more welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

We had a nice meal, the restaurant was not busy at all for a beautiful Friday evening in early June. We were seated without problems and were served quickly! We tried their Calamari which was a tasty and a good portion. This was followed by their Chicken Pasta dish and Fish and Chips. Both were very nice.

This was our first time here, and we had a great experience. We arrived after lunch, which coincided with happy hour, so I took advantage of the happy hour menu. My husband ordered an item from the shareable menu. I opted for the Caesar salad, which was okay, while the fried calamari was well-cooked and quite good. The Short Ribs Pasta was amazing; the meat was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of sauce. My favorite part of the meal was the sticky pudding—it was the best I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Excellent food and a great atmosphere. Went here with my wife for lunch and was not disappointed. The fish and chips were super fresh and hot and the whipped feta dip was amazing. Prices were fairly high compared to other restaurants in the area but well worth it. Definitely recommend!

It was our first time at turtle jacks. Not only was the menu amazing but the service and presentation was awesome too ! Highly recommend and get a booth inside overlooking the parking to get the best service from Ryan and Heather !! Thank you for the hospitality!

Fresh ingredients, great service! I had blackened basa taco that comes with a choice of side, absolutely enjoyed the mango pineapple salsa. The dish has a hint of spice which is awesome

I love this restaurant... This is restaurant is by the Mapleview Shopping Centre in Burlington. Love the location and you can walk in from inside the mall. After 9PM Just be mindful when you park your car the other side make sure you park your car to lower level close food court. They closed the entrance by the mall inside at 9PM. What I experienced was when I parked my car at the front of the mall after our dinner done aroubd 10PM I have to walk around the mall and it was so cold and not prepared. Overall the food and ambiance of the bar and restaurant is great. I definitely recommend this place. I have been eating in Turtle Jacks in decades.
