Wonderful New Years Eve dinner. Brandon was amazing as our server. Friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was amazing and pretty large portions. We spoke to the chef Don and his wife Melanie who are the owners. Super nice people. We will definitely be back for the homemade bread pudding. (Too full for dessert tonight)

We had a very enjoyable Sunday evening dinner. Brandon was an excellent server, super friendly and efficient. The food was great and portions were plentiful. We had the Seafood schnitzel and the Teriyaki stir fry with shrimp.

5 of us went for dinner Saturday (last night) Our server was great, I asked for a drink that wasn't on the menu, an old fashion. The server made it and well at that. All of our meals were great.

We had great schnitzel dinners at The Iron Skillet in Barrie. The portions sizes are large and everything was tasty. We also enjoyed the bruschetta with goat cheese and balsamic glaze for an appetizer. Our server Brandon was warm, helpful and very attentive. Our family will definitely return!

In search of unusual “Daily Specials”? Something tasty, familiar, and a little too much effort to do at home? Have a look at today’s sandwich board. Not the usual offerings, right? These dishes require a lot of prep and careful plating! Chef Tony surpassed expectations. I had the cabbage rolls (served with a side Caesar) and my husband went for the breakfast. A picture’s with a thousand words, so see below. Aside from the food, which was excellent (no soggy croutons in this Caesar salad! homemade tomato sauce! perfectly cooked eggs and lots of bacon!) this restaurant has a nice vibe - music playing at the right volume level, warm colour scheme, the right ambient temperature, a combo of booths and tables, and a superb hostess who also served us, Chelsey. And, it’s the little things: asking where WE might like to be seated, watching that our coffee didn’t get too low, and ensuring lots of condiments and extras were actually on the table, without us asking for them, that leave a good impression and make us want to come back. This restaurant is in a plaza, near the Bayfield / Hanmer intersection, so if you’re at the Georgian Mall, Shoppers Drug Mart or the LCBO, they are mere steps away. Hours are daily 10:00 or 11:00, through to early evening. Thanks, Chef Tony and Hostess Chelsey! We’ll be back!

After driving past the Wasaga location a handful of times, we were excited to visit this location. The waitress was fantastic, extremely welcoming and well versed in all the specials. The food was phenomenal. We ordered spaghetti and fries for our son, the fries reminded us of chip truck fries and they were perfect. My wife had the Weiner Schnitzel and said it was one of the best she's ever had. The chef came to our table with some Hunter Sauce for us to try. It elevated the meal! I had the Yorkshire pudding and roast beef. It was one of the best Yorkshire puddings I've ever had. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Been such a long time since I have been to Tony's. Back in 1995 I think. Met him and talked about his wings at the time. So I was excited to bring my wife there for the first time. We were disappointed. The new Barrie location. I had the breakfast Mac and cheese. Which was fantastic. My wife has breakfast enchiladas. They looked sad and kind of tasteless. The egg had the same colour like everything was cooked in the same oil. The breakfast potatoes we both didn't eat. They are to big and didn't like the taste of them. Too dry and had the same dark colour. I had to say something about our experience. Not here to bash of course and will go back and go for lunch or dinner.

Just had a fantastic first experience at The Iron Skillet Barrie! We had two of today's specials, one was the Smotherd Prime Rib and the other was the Parmesean Crusted Pikerel. Both were amazing. My daughter also had the Penne with Tomato sauce and it was very good as well! Brandon's service was great! He was friendly and knowledgeable and had great suggestions! We will definitely be back soon! UPDATE: I wasn't joking when I said we would be back soon! Came back the following week for my 35th Birthday Dinner. I had the morrocan chicken special and it was fantastic! There were 9 of us in total and the food and service was top notch! We had Brandon as our server again and he is such a gem! I must say, although this is on the opposite side of the city for us, it's worth the trip and I think I have found my new fave spot! If I had one request, it would be to have the option of some different veggies but that's no biggie.
