The Hungry Donkey is a new restaurant in Newmarket opened more than 6 months ago.
We serve up traditional Greek pita wraps such as gyros, souvlaki, bifteki and sausage. Desserts such as baklava, Greek cheesecakes and loukoumades! We also have a wide array of imported Greek products in our dry, refrigerated and frozen retail section.

The Mahjong ladies of the Aurora Senior Centre had their annual holiday party on Saturday. The Hungry Donkey catered. From my first phone call and the delivery of the food, George and, especially Victoria went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was outstanding and got rave reviews from everyone.

Pork gyro was absolutely delicious. I was surprised to get such great food at the mall. Pork was juicy and had a nice light char. Nice pita bread. Excellent tzatziki. Crisp shaved onions and sliced tomato. Fries in the wrap were hot, fresh fried and nicely seasoned. Asked if they could make it spicy and the hot sauce they used was complimentary. Definitely one of the best Greek meals I've come across. Great value for the ingredients and execution imo. I'll be back again soon

This place is awesome! I got the halloumi wrap, and though it isn’t your “traditional” Greek plate in regards to portion size the size was perfect. It was SO big but it always wasn’t too small. It was also delicious! Would recommend coming here again.

The only place I eat at the mall! Restaurant quality food at the food court, for an extremely reasonable price! The meat is always cooked to perfection, totally worth the wait. The portions are great as well, the gyro might look small, but it is loaded with high density that you feel very full once you finish. And you must try their desert!

Omg.. I've had a lot of gyros in my day but shit man these are better than anything I've tried. I always get the pork, It's marinated so well and omg the tzaziki is paranormal. Please do yourself a favor and eat here. And also.. it's not expensive.. $13 for a huge gyro!

The portion of chicken salad was quite small, I didn't feel full at all after I finished it. However, the lamb wrap tasted good. But I have to wait for 20 minutes for getting my food, it took too long!

First time. Great Greek food. Friendly service. All products sold are from Greece. Priced fairly. Ordered the chicken/pork gyros pita, pork gyros poutine. Delicious 4.7 out of 5. Diffentanly the place to eat if your visiting Upper Canada Mall.

Ordered on Uber Eats and it did not disappoint. The flavours were very delicious and truly authentic. We enjoyed the two pita’s (chicken souvlaki and gyro) Greek Fries and Tirokafteri ! I have not had greek food this good in years. I would highly recommend trying it out. Very reasonably priced for what you get in my opinion.
