The Express Restaurant- Italian Eatery

I've been a few times now and consistently order their takeout, and both options are great. They recently updated their seating so it looks fresh and modern inside. The pasta is amazing, I don't think there's a dish that I wouldn't recommend. Service is well attended and friendly. They are very accommodating and honestly I think this is my go-to for get togethers with friends now!

A quick note to the level of our appointment -- it was the second annual Staff Christmas Party for our firm. The entire restaurant was reserved for a staff of approximately 40 people. The ambiance is nothing short of captivating—elegant yet inviting, with a touch of European class that makes it perfect for any high-dining occasion. The menu is a delightful journey through innovative flavors and timeless classics, each dish beautifully presented with an artful touch. You can easily immerse yourself into the heart of Italy through the food alone. The head chef, Sonam, truly excels in combining fresh, high-quality ingredients with bold flavors. It's seldom achieved outside of michelin-star-rated cuisine. Whether you’re a fan of light, refreshing dishes or rich, indulgent meals, there’s something that will surprise and delight your palate. Chef Sonam & his staff will accomodate at the highest level. A particular standout was their grilled calamari, which perfectly balanced textures and flavors in a way that left us wanting much more. The service was impeccable. Our server Nicole was attentive, knowledgeable, extremely kind and personable -- showing a warmth that is seldom seen ensuring that every need was promptly met accompanied with a beautiful smile. The drinks menu is equally impressive, featuring a well-curated selection of wines, beers and craft cocktails that perfectly complement the dishes. Every recommendation made was spot-on, enhancing the overall experience.The bartending staff was personable, fast, and more than wondeful. It’s clear that the team took great pride in offering a seamless dining experience from start to finish. All in all, The Express Restaurant is a true hidden gem that combines outstanding cuisine, exceptional service, and an unforgettable atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dining experience without having to book a flight to visit the high-end restaurants of Europe. This venue has captured the hearts and stomachs of our entire staff, we will be returning for a third year without a question or a doubt. We'll also be back for date night!

Just placed and received an order for Ravioli Al Brasato and Calamari frits ($80+ for food & logistics) on uber eats and I am disappointed enough to come here and leave this review. This is the 2nd time I am ordering this pasta from the restaurant and I loved it the first time. Now to this order, the Calamari frits were oily/oil-soaked, but I could let that pass because sometimes deep fried calmari can be that way. Then I opened the pasta and I have pasta, shrimp and meatballs seating in a bowl of oil 😳. I have never seen anything like that before. It is like the Chef decided to serve me oil with a side of pasta. I feel sick just looking at it. So, I guess what you get here depends on the day you order. Needless to say I won’t be gambling with my money again!

Ordered from Uber eats. Margherita pizza: no basil and burnt; grilled calamari: burnt and overly salty; brownie: even at 2 for 1 $8 for a credit card sized piece is criminal. From a previous review it seems the kitchen staff is new so maybe we'll actually go in and give them a second chance but this was totally inedible.

I visited on a weekend and the food was good. We tried Pizza and Pasta. Service was slow even when it was less than half full. We requested booster seats for the two kids, never got them during the whole stay.

We are a family of 5 and we showed up just before closing. Nice lady was able to give us a table on the outside. Both servers that were helping us were young so we set expectations lower. The knowledge about wines was acceptable but she was able to explain most of it. We are not complainers but unfortunately we got wine glasses dirty and bruschetta with hair. Which is a big NO but servers were always smiling and apologized. Food tasted great especially pizza. I will give 5 start just cause of effort of two young ladies.

I have been to the express multiple times, and have loved it everytime. The service is always amazing and chef Sonom does an amazing job. A few weeks ago I took my east coast friends to the restaurant for patio drinks and food on a Saturday afternoon! The patio was super busy but our server Nicole did an absolutely fantastic job, ensuring that everything went well throughout our time at the restaurant she was super diligent and hard-working throughout our entire two hour experience. I could also tell that she worked really hard because she was attending for all the other tables that were outside and seemed to be one of the only staff that was working. Overall an amazing experience and the food was phenomenal. Will definitely be back soon, and I hope Nicole will serve us again!!

Went to visit Burlington’s Square Village and found this awesome place, right in the street with a great view of the lake. Service was great and relatively quick. We ordered Calamari, was fresh and delicious and 3 different Pizzas, Nicky done with thin crust, authentic Italian style. Lived this restaurant and will for sure go back to visit .
