Over the last few years, The Duchess of Markham has been a reliable spot for a good Irish Pub! I can always count on them for a good time with friends while watching a soccer or hockey game while enjoying classic Irish pub fare! The Bangers and Mash is a classic representation as it hits home with the blend between perfectly grilled sausage with mashed potatoes and onion gravy! The Guiness Lamb Stew is also perfect for the winter as the lamb is nicely cooked with the root vegetables and does enjoy well with a slice of bread!

Classic Irish Pub, in all the best possible ways the staff were fantastic and incredibly friendly. The atmosphere of the place is great. I would highly recommend the spinach dip and the fried pickles. Also had the Sheppard pie, which while it wasn't bad, I wouldn't order it again. My friend had one of there burgers and said it was amazing.

A nice cozy neighbourhood pub on Main St. Markham, great selection of beer on tap, tasty pub food at its best, extensive menu of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and pub favourites, very accommodating helpful staff.

Everything about this place is amazing , but specially when coming in on a Tuesday. Coz Tuesday's they have Half Price Wings. And that is an amazing Deal. We got the Pizza , Wings , Beer and Poutine and all of them dishes were super amazing.

If you’re looking for a classic British pub style restaurant you should check this one out. Plenty of classic pub menu options, plus your classic handhelds too. Interior is somewhat dated and a little dark, but that’s kind of the pub vibe anyway.

We were walking around the area, and waiting for some friends, so my husband want to have a beer 🍻 since we were waiting, we arrive to the Duchess of Markham because looks relax and chill. And we were not wrong. Nice place to have some drinks and pub food , we have some fries in a thick cut and we love them. The service was nice. At the time of changing the schedule for the next round. Our waitress come to say goodbye and introduce us to our next waitress. They said they have live music on Saturdays, so we would like to return for that .

Haven’t been to pub in a while and the Duchess was a pleasant surprise. Far and better meal over fast food. Restaurant is located in the Joseph and Sarah Henderson House c. 1835, which later housed print room before its current use in the 1980s.
