What an awesome hidden gem!! Been craving some good Caribbean food lately and this spot did not disappoint. Fresh food, large portions and great price point! It was a pleasant surprise to find this Jamaican restaurant in the heart of Barrie while there on a day trip recently, and I must say Caribbean Express is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Jamaican flavors! The food here is absolutely delicious – rich, bold, and made with true island flair. From the perfectly spiced jerk chicken to the flavorful oxtail , every dish bursts with vibrant flavors and clearly uses fresh, high-quality ingredients. The ambiance is fantastic, with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. Jerk chicken and oxtail were tasteless. I had to fill the plate with ketchup to at least get through the meal. There is no way someone from the Caribbean cooked this.

We usually drive from Collingwood to Toronto to get authentic food. But today we decided to try this amazing establishment. Prices were good and the food was amazing... I have never had this much meat on my oxtail. The portions were huge. We are definitely returning,Very satisfied, Highly recommended 10 Stars ⭐

Absolutely the best Jamaican restaurant in Barrie and Toronto and I’ve been to plenty. The flavours were explosive . Wasn’t expecting much but pleasantly surprised.

Food and service were amazing. Great spot by the waterfront. You all need to ask for Jerk Pork so they bring it back as it’s my favourite. Chicken, coleslaw, rice and peas were all great and good portions as well. Friendly people too. Definitely be back for my jerk fix.
