I LOVE THE CANNON!!!! Every experience i’ve had here whether take out or dine-in is exceptional! The hospitality here is A+ every staff member deserves a gold star! The espresso is delicious and so are the waffles :) The best part about working on Ottawa St for me is getting to stop here before my shifts!

What an experience! I went in with high expectations but was blown away even so. First of all, the most amazing people work here. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, which is something I especially notice and appreciate now as a hijabi, that we felt like celebrities. They were that incredible. I would come back alone for such a warm and cozy feel. They had a little cubby of books for kids that quickly became very popular with my kids. No amount of flying napkins and food or loud noises phased the staff here. The coffee: We walked away with a jar of coffee beans. The caps we got were creamy, frothy and something magical. You'll find coffee for this price but you won't find coffee like this for this price. 10/10 I want to come back and honour the rest of the coffee menu here. The food: I wasn't ready for this. Ordered the Harvest Brunch. Imagine you are sitting in PEI on a warm summer day and right outside your window, you see the rolling hills of farms where your food was harvested. Your greens are lush and crunchy, the sweet potatoes and zucchini freshly steamed soft and flavourful and your peppers crunchy and sweet. The waffle was crisp with some sauce that was DIVINE! Eggs were soft and delicious. I wanted to share, but I could not. It was unbelievably delicious and the freshness was out of this world. I snuck bites of the sweet waffle from the kids plate and it was equally delicious. I would drive here from an hour away easily for food this level. I can't wait to come back. And bring everyone else who appreciates food as I do to be delighted at the Cannon.

The Cannon Coffee Shop has a great aesthetic with a hip, modern vibe. The design gives off a cool, internet cafe feel, with many customers working on their laptops, which creates a relaxed and productive atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, which adds to the overall positive experience. However, while the ambiance was spot on, the coffee itself was just OK and didn’t leave much of an impression. That’s the main reason for my 4-star rating—I won’t be returning for a second cup.

Tried this place today for the 1st time recommended by a friend. It has a quaint dine in area, lovely staff, delicious pastries, fantastic coffee and the waffle was amazing! I was hesitant on trying a savoury waffle, but I'm soooo glad I did!!! Can't wait to come back here again!

Used to offer really good coffee years ago. Been here for the second time after relocation. Good esthetics and interior but… super bland lattes - all types of lattes. And so many flies on the pastries. Won’t be back for awhile, sadly.

Came here for the first time this past weekend. We were in a bit of a rush so we ordered take out. Each got an iced latte with a breakfast sandwich. I got there breakfast sandwich on a cheese waffle, my friend got breakfast sandwich on a cheese scone. Iced latte’s were so smooth and the breakfast sandwiches were super unique and tasty! Overall a cute spot with a good atmosphere and great food, would definitely come back again !
