Tasty bbq 棠記燒臘

I heard a lot of hype about this place by several relatives and friends so thought that it was time to try this place out. It definitely lived up to expectations. Got the BBQ Pork and Roast Duck with rice, it also came with soup. The BBQ Pork and Roast Duck was tender and tasted really good with the marination. Typically a lot of Chinese BBQ would overcook these two, but this wasn’t the case here. The cabbage was flavoured well and the sauce with it tasted amazing. Another tip is to ask for soy sauce and pour 2-3 soy sauce packets into the rice and mix it. Then eat the soy sauce infused rise with the protein and you have an incredible mix of flavours. The soup was also amazing and the flavours with the meat you get was really tasty. This is now my go to spot for Chinese BBQ and by far the best place in Mississauga for it. Must try if you are craving Chinese BBQ. All for a great price too!

Really solid Chinese BBQ spot. The meat platter was worth every cent and the flavour of each cut was different from one another. They also came with 4 different sauces. We also got the pork hock which was marinated and seasoned to perfection. The veggies were solid. Not too oily and not too salty. We will definitely be getting food from here again soon.

For the price, quality and generous portion, you really can’t ask for more. Server is also super friendly. Highly recommend the steamed chicken, roasted duck and soy sauce chicken.

So happy finally there is a BBQ place in Mississauga...I came specially to try their food..I order BBQ pork n char Siu rice n honestly speaking is good ...I hope it will keep the same quality ..there is about 4 table for dine in which is good for me because I am single so I can eat there by myself....I came after the lunch rush hour around 3.30pm so there is table avaliable...lunch time will be busy.....there are many people came in to buy take out ...look like will be a successful business if they can keep having good quality products.

Best place to go for HK BBQ. Steam chicken on rice is a must have as well as their crispy roasted pork. Steam Chicken is both soft and tender in texture while having the well marinated sauce that gives the extra layer of flavours. Crispy roasted pork has the shatteringly crispy pork skin that sits atop a melting, jelly-like layer of pork fat, on top of a stump of melting, tender meat. The choice of soft round rice instead of the standard hard long rice is also a plus to the restaurant. Great services from the friendly staff. Location is clean and well maintained. A must try place if you haven’t.

Cashier and staff overall were friendly. They said they’ve been opened for a week. I walked by and saw the glistening skin of the roasted pork and walked back after picking up my banh mi only to find there was only 1/4 roast pork left. Roast pork and bbq duck were delicious. Steamed chicken was dry and the sauce needs work. Cashier even through in free pork bones and suggested to make congee with carrots. So nice! I’ll definitely be back.

The BBQ and roast pork are amazing and the customer service is great. The staff cares about ensuring that you’re happy with the food. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Finally a new food addition to this plaza! They have $8.99 specials. 🥰 We tried one of the soy sauce chicken deals and a duck+bbq pork combo. Out of all of them, I say the bbq pork was the tastiest. The soup and veggies that came complimentary is fantastic. However I think I'd enjoy only ordering the meat next time and making rice at home instead. The staff is so nice here!
