Came here to try out on Christmas Day as I saw lots of people dining here on other days. The restaurant has a small menu mainly focused on spicy fish stew with pickled cabbage. It’s quite spicy but delicious. I wish the menu had more choices but I get why they keep it small. The restaurant is super clean and I’d dive here again when I crave some spicy fish.

I had an amazing experience at TAI ER Sichuan Cuisine (太二酸菜鱼) in Markham! The flavors are authentic and bold, especially the signature sour fish soup—it’s perfectly spicy with just the right amount of tang. The ingredients are fresh, and the fish is cooked to perfection. The ambiance is modern and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The staff are friendly and efficient, making sure everything was just right. If you’re a fan of Sichuan cuisine or looking to try something new, TAI ER is definitely worth a visit!

The portion of the food is generous. Taste is good. There many dishes that is not spicy. The fish is fresh not from frozen fish fillet. Tender and not fishy. Ma Po tofu is good very pickles. Dan Dan noodle is my favorite. This is huge chain in China. The food doesn’t taste like pre-made. Recommend a try

Decent Szechuan dishes. We tried the non-spicy pickled fish soup dish. The fish fliet is pretty tender but plain taste. The pickled cabbage is pretty tasty. We also like the cold noodle dish. It's very chewy and taste authentic. The serive is good.

We had an amazing experience at this Sichuan restaurant! The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food was nothing short of excellent, with every dish bursting with authentic flavours. The highlight for us was the sauerkraut fish, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, a true standout on the menu. If you’re looking for a place with great food and impeccable service, this is it. Highly recommend!

Got the spicy fish, fern noodles and the sticky rice cakes. Fish was good, enough sourness and the soup was nice, although I like my food super spicy and numbing so this was way too mild for me. Also I’m used to different options of fish so it’s interesting that you don’t have any choice here when it is the main dish. Fern noodles was interesting, chewy and sour. Sticky rice cakes was good, for me it felt a bit too soft but maybe it’s supposed to be like that. Service was superb, fast and attentive. Booths were spacious.

I went there last week at lunch time. They offered me the lunch special combo meal. The lunch special combo included 4 dishes plus 2 dessert and 2 bowls of rice only for 55.99. Food tastes good specially the fish. Kids /Baby friendly. They have 7.99 kids meal. My baby loves this place. Open concept kitchen. Good service.

Just went there this weekend as my first visit, it was a great experience. We tried 2 of their new dish, Sweet and Sour Kung Pao Chicken and Tomato Fish Fillet; the Tomato Fish Fillet was really good!! We also tried many other dishes, most of them are really good except for the Crunchy Shrimp with Sweet Mustard Sauce, the batter is too thick, I think it would taste much better if they could just coated with corn starch to fried in stead of batter. Service is superb!!! It’s unexpectedly great!! First surprise was when the server serve us the Youtiao she accidentally dropped one, and she reacted very quickly before you give her a look, she said she is sorry and she will remake another one for us, and it came back 3, so it means she even gave us 2 extra. And then we asked a server for extra ladle, and just when the server walked away and another servier alrdy delivered the extra ladle. It was so fast and very efficient!! The place is very spacious, seating is very comfy, and you can play your fortune stick while waiting for food. But the waiting time is very short though, the food come out fast!! Me and my friends said we will come back to try the rest of the menu for sure. Maybe the food is average, but their service is fire sure make you feel comfy to dine in their place.
