My wife and I recently had dinner at Sunset Bistro, and it was an unforgettable experience! The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere, paired with a stunning waterfront view, made for the perfect evening. The menu offered a great variety of fresh, healthy salads and other wholesome options, all of which were absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. We were pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were for such high-quality meals. The attentive and friendly staff ensured we had everything we needed, making the experience even more enjoyable. Sunset Bistro is a hidden gem that combines great food, excellent value, and breathtaking views!”

Brought a date here for brunch, waiter was very nice. Food has always been decent in the past but this time the bacon was way overcooked but besides that, the rest was good. Clean environment, good atmosphere.

Solid 2. Quite lacklustre and underwhelming. It’s unlikely I’ll return, at least for breakfast service, because there were a few red flags. There was definite mixed messaging when it comes to their breakfast versus brunch menu which was vexing. The website indicated they served brunch on the weekends which is when I went (Sunday at 1pm) yet they were only serving breakfast when I arrived (first 🚩). The sign outside said that breakfast was served until three (perhaps they serve brunch after 3pm?). When we sat down, they gave us what was titled “brunch menu” but it consisted solely of breakfast items (omelettes and bennys) indicating what I can only assume is a dated menu. The breakfast menu was quite small and non-varied, mostly egg dishes so it was a disappointment they weren’t serving brunch despite the website saying so as that menu looked much better in terms of the variety of dishes! The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and has very simple furnishings; the floor plan was a bit awkward as it didn’t maximize the space (which would make sense if they’re not that busy). The floor was sparsely littered with restaurant paraphernalia and could definitely use a sweep. Considering it wasn’t busy, they could’ve cleaned the floor prior to any potential lunch rush or even to start the service. The table was also dirty with puddles of what seemed to be water (second 🚩). The service was standard. However, I’d watch the lack of attention when it comes to keeping a clean section. The food menu items were all priced at $X.95 which I found amusing as a marketing tactic. I ordered the Vegetarian Benedict ($18.95) which was sour… perhaps they put too much vinegar in the boiling pot. The cook on the egg was good though. Like I previously mentioned, I would not return for their breakfast service which left a poor impression in terms of confusing marketing, lack of food quality, and dirty atmosphere. Since there are tons of other restaurants downtown, I won’t spend my time, energy, or money here.

I came to Sunset Bistro with my family for brunch on a Saturday around 12 noon, and we all enjoyed our experience here. The customer service and food were 10/10! The staff were super friendly and our food came rather quickly. I ordered the Veggie Lovers Omelette which was a perfect amount of food for me (see picture), and my other family members ordered the Classic Breakfast and Smoked Salmon Benedict (not pictured). Everyone enjoyed their brunch! We'll have to come back and try out their lunch and dinner options.

First time at this beautiful location. Very friendly staff. Started with bruschetta and it was ok. Ordered the mushroom Ravioli with added chicken and was quite amazed with that dish. Well made and good portion. Loved the pesto crème sauce. The steak frites did fall short for our expectations. It was a good quality 10 oz AAA striploin though.

We have never been to this restaurant before, but looking at the menu, we decided to give it a try. It was a mistake. We had made a reservation for the patio, but the only table that was in the sun was dirty. I asked for it to be cleaned, and overheard a negative comment about it from a gentleman behind the bar. Ordered mussels and crab cakes as the first course. Food was brought, but no cutlery. I had to go get the cutlery. Mussels were supposed to have garlic bread. None came to the table. I had to go ask about the garlic bread as no one came back to the table to check. The mussels were so salty, my partner only at maybe 1/3 of them. There were also 4 mussels in the bowl that were dead, as they were unopened. Crab cakes were average at best. Not worth the $21.95 price tag. Ordered chicken Parmesan and lamb burger with fries and gravy for main course. Mains arrived. Again, had to ask for more cutlery, as it was removed with the mussels. Lamb burger was a disappointment. It was very dry. ( I ate it anyway, as I didn’t want to wait for another one). Gravy was literally about 1 fl oz. Chicken parm was mediocre at best. Disappointing for a $110 bill ( mussels of $19.95 were removed from the bill - thank you for that ) We will not return. You really need to have your waitstaff retrained on proper steps of service and take a close look at your food program.

Fresh is off the charts here!! Definitely a must try. I was a bit surprised by the small menu but couldn't believe how well my meal tasted. Gordon Ramsay was right, a smaller menu means better ingredients and this place has it. I ordered 2 pastas and a soup of the day. I was blown into the lake by the flavor of everything. The soup was hands down like the way grandma would make it, but better (we'll keep that between us). Pasta was also rich, flavorful, and you could tell the care the chef took to make this dish. Nothing was overcooked or under seasoned and noodles were al dente, it was perfect. The price was reasonable as well and service was top notch. I would definitely be back. Thanks Sunset!!

We were looking for a restaurant for a very special occasion (my son's 50th birthday). The most important for us was good food and good service. We were searching for a while on the Internet. Our choice hit the jackpot. FOOD-5 star, (presentation and taste), Service -5 star. We ordered appetizers for everyone to share: 2 house salads, 1 Caesar salad, 2 plates brochette, 3 orders of Calamari (our favorite) in total 8 orders for 10 people. All appetizers were excellent, Calamari to die for! Any restaurant we go to that have them on the menu we order the calamari. I must say they were the best ever and I know that only Excellent Chefs know the secret of how to make them. We had one guest with a gluten free diet, and the Bistro made 2 brochette gluten free just for her! For the main course guests ordered the Rib eye Steak (grilled to perfection), Seafood Duo-'Lobster tail+ Tiger shrimps, Grilled Chicken Rigatoni, Chicken Parmesan and Baked Pistachio Salmon. Everything was amazing-all our gusts were impressed and happy. We had alcoholic cocktails, before dinner, red wine with main course and Champagne with dessert (we brought our own cake), ice cream (for our gluten free girl), coffee. Everything was AMAZING. It will be now one of our favorite restaurants, we have to try other items from the menu. To bad was no option to add to favorites the Rib-ere stake and Seafood Duo.
