Spicy Island

Newly discovered restaurant 🌟 Spicy Island 🌟 Some food items were amazing. We tried fish, chili chicken, with gravy and also dry, lemon chicken, vegetables fried rice spicy, and regular. Hakka noodles, Couple of more items that I don't remember. Their vegetable choices in the food are different and go very well with some of the items on the menu. Couple of the sweet & sour items were a bit of on the sweeter side. Some of the Spicy Items. That we asked them to keep spicy were really spicy. So just keep in mind if you ask for spicy food. They will make you cry 😁 all in all every was good. Once again, we stormed the place a group of about 20 family members only. Called in booked the spot for all of us. They were very accommodating. Some of my family members are regularly to this restaurant. The owner was nice she was the one running around in the front of the house, taking care of the customer. Very caring person. My only problem was they have 2 washrooms 1 was out of service, which is no big deal. The second washroom was in bad shape. We had to ask them to clean it. Which they did right away. Another plus for customer service.

I've been here twice now with my husband and this place has the best hakka food in Newmarket! Portions sizes are large and great for sharing and the Hakka food is perfectly spicy (and even if you don't like spicy food there are plenty of other non-spicy options). The best part is the service - May is so lovely and friendly every time we come in. The whole place just feels so cozy and welcoming. Come here for the good food and good people.

Great food, good prices, very friendly staff :). If you like actually spicy food, this is the place to go. Two bowls of rice + one order of Hakka Chilli Chicken were enough to fill up my wife and I. Personally like using the small bowls to eat lol

This is a fantastic restaurant for anyone looking for great food made with care. They have a wide variety of items to choose from and the menu is reasonably priced. The portions are generous. This is a great local business to support. I especially love the Hakka noodles! A+

What a find! Just had take out from here last weekend and I had to come in-store to try it as well. Absolutely amazing food! From the chicken pakora, chilli chicken, crispy ginger beef, and veg fried rice, everything is perfect. The staff are really friendly as well. Can’t wait to try more dishes from here.

Second time here and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken & shrimp pad Thai, crispy ginger beef and mango bubble tea. The staff is super friendly and seating area is clean. There is more of the menu I want to try so I will be back for sure.

I read the many SPICY ISLAND reviews and scrolled through the online photos...then I decided to give it a try. The Ginger Beef is unbelievably good! It has to be one of their signature dishes in my opinion. Big portions and piping hot food even after a short ride home on a cold February evening. The Beef & Rice noodle dish was delicious too! Way too much food for one sitting. Lots of long weekend leftovers. They threw in some warm "cheese wontons" to try...which were crispy and super cheesy. Very friendly service and clean restaurant. There is a reason their ratings are so high and the reviews are super positive. What are you waiting for?...Give this place a try!

First time trying SPICY ISLAND. Wow!! Will definitely be back to try more tasty things. Pictured is the Pad Thai. Bursting with flavour with plenty of chicken. Portion size is large enough to make 2 full meals. Plus the staff (might be the owner?) is super friendly. 😊
