Skyway Diner

I ordered the pancakes and had to send them back because they were not cooked all the way through. Staff immediately asked if I wanted new pancakes or something else. I choose to try the pancakes again. This time they were crispy on one side but still not cooked all the way through. So disappointing. They didn’t charge me for the breakfast I didn’t get (couldn’t eat), and comped our 2 2 coffees. So disappointing

Had a great meal and time at the sky way diner. I would go back 100% next time I’m in the area. Everybody is very friendly and food was absolutely delicious. Great portion sizes, wont be leaving hungry. What I really like was the coffee that was brought to the table. Very enjoyable and convenient having it right by the table !

Wouldn’t change a thing about our first experience today. Our server was lovely and personable. My husband had the “Skyway Pile Up” which was lots of delicious breakfast foods, he said it was very satisfying. I asked the waitress what her favourite thing on the menu was, she said the Reuben, and I see why. It was buttery and crispy and delish. Highly recommend for a breakfast spot :)

Came here for a late dinner, about an hour before they closed. There were 3 other tables seated in the restaurant and it seems like just 1 server. Despite this, we had to wait about 10 minutes from getting our drinks to being able to order, another 15 or so to get the food, and then we weren't checked in on for our food until we were pretty much done. Not sure why it took so long to get our food cause when it came out it wasn't hot, which indicates to me it had been sitting ready for a while. I thought the food was reasonably priced. There were 3 of us and total including tax and tip was $75. The kid portion for fish was generous. I feel like this would be a better breakfast place though not sure how the service could handle a busier restaurant.

Went there with a friend. We both ordered the veal parmigiano. It was not good. It tasted like minced pork. The pasta with meat sauce was good. The garlic toast was good. The staff was very friendly! The restaurant itself was awesome!! But for a $29 dish I expected better quality food.

My Dad and I had breakfast on Saturday October 5 and overall everything was great except the service. My Dad and I go at least 1, 2 and sometimes 3 times a week for breakfast or dinner the service is always excellent but twice now we’ve been for breakfast and we got a short lady red hair with glasses and her service is terrible. This morning the coffee was not hot she took our order but someone else brought our food and she never came back to see how our food was and if we needed anything else. When we were finished she never came back to clear our table and we had to ask 2 other waitresses for our check. It’s a shame because we love going there which we will continue but we will make sure we never get this waitress again.

I can see why this isn’t to suit everyone but I thought it was perfect. We liked the retro vibe and music and relaxed atmosphere as only in town for 2 days. The Skyway is unpretentious and the food was great quality for the price - we enjoyed the Rueben sandwich which came with super coleslaw, also the chicken tenders which I had with the best sweet potato fries ever. The service was friendly and not over attentive but just right. It was so good we went again for breakfast and got a big welcome back from the Finnish waitress - sorry didn’t get name.

Nice place, with nostalgic vibes. Our waitress was very nice. Food was average overall and a bit pricey. Out of the platters we ordered, I recommend the chicken parmesan with pasta.
