Sho Sushi

I live a few minutes from here and me and my friend come here 2-3 times a month. Never been disappointed with the service or food..they are always extremely nice, the rolls are massive and the food is such high quality compared to all these other places in town…if you’re thinking of trying sushi make sure to come to this place because you’ll never go anywhere else after you try the Dynamite roll :)

Moved in the area a while ago and after searching around I FINALLY found my new favorite sushi place! Always delicious, always consistent, always great smile. I would mark this as my ALL TIME favorite sushi place. Medium combination sushi, sashimi and rolls is always a BLAST. 💯 recommend. If you just want some of the most amazing rolls, RED DRAGON ROLL and SPICY TUNA ROLLS 👌👌👌

They are one of the best places in Newmarket for sushi hands-down. Always providing fresh food and top customer service. I have gone to them over 10 times before writing the review and I’m only doing this because they even wrote a cute note showing appreciation for the client they serve.

Food The miso soup was delicious. The tempura shrimp tasted fresh and was perfectly crispy. We got the spicy salmon, spicy bulgogi and the red dragon roll all tasted good but were a little too spicy one of us. Service The restaurant was busy but service was quick and friendly. I am not sure what their policy is on serving green tea to customers, maybe you have to order it separately? Or maybe it is only served to select customers? I didn't ask but it seemed a little weird. I remember the old days where it was customers at sushi restaurants to serve green tea to all guests. Parking Limited parking available for the restaurant but we parked in the back where the car wash parking was and it was fine. Seating Limited Seating at the restaurant so your best bet may be to do takeout. Ambience Loved the art work drawn behind the counter.

We are so lucky that this is our neighbourhood sushi place - we’ve been getting take out since they opened during the pandemic, but now we also enjoy bringing friends or having date night at their cozy little restaurant space. Their plating is always beautiful and the service js great. They can fill up at peak times for dining in, so call ahead if you’d like to make sure you get one their tables - it’s worth it!

I think we have found our new sushi place in Newmarket. We used to go to Otaru on Main Street and it closed and then we went to Sushi Itto and it closed this year. Both of those places were small and the staff and owners were very kind and attentive to my celiac disease. I always felt safe eating there. I felt confident with Sho Sushi as well. They provide a gluten-free soy sauce. I don't know about the wasabi but I bring my own tube whenever I go out for sushi. This is a small, intimate restaurant with a loyal clientele. The food was very fresh. The dynamite roll was the best ever without exaggeration.

Some of the best tasting sushi I have ever had. You can tell every ingredient is fresh and the size of the pieces was great. They gave us complimentary miso soup while we waited. The server was very kind and quick.
