I just tried Shawarma 401. I tried a beef and chicken family plate to take out. Definitely best Shawarma in Durham region. Good portions, good price, friendly staff. I will go back soon even when I have to drive 20 mins to get there.

ALL GAS NO BRAKES!! They’re generous with toppings & customizations! The rice way a litttle lacking but not even close to being detrimental to the experience! I got extra pickles & turnips & as you can see they went craaazy. I love this place. Life saver as it’s close to home & my favourite shawarma spot in Scarborough just fell off harder than Drake

Disappointed! I have been going there for 2 years now and have definitely observed how the portions sizes have reduced dramatically, the garlic is not the same and they are stingy. I only went to this place in GTA after moving from Ottawa. Now I will completely avoid shawarma in GTA. Take a look at the serving of potatoes which is literally half. ☹️

Back for more today. Chicken & Beef Combo platter with everything. So good, no leftovers.. Shawarma 401 is the real deal. Fresh Naan, crunchy salad, Shawarma machines loaded with chicken and beef that is sooo tasty you can't stop eating... Portions are huge, staff are friendly and helpful, prices are quite reasonable. Recommend We shared the combo platter with chicken/beef, rice, and the works. A perfect combination of meat and veggies, with amazing garlic and other sauces. We ate in while it was hot and completely enjoyed a great meal for 2 with pop for only $25. Great value! Recommend.

This place blew our socks off! We ordered the family pack and fed 3 adults and 1 child with enough left overs to boot! Easily a 5 person or more family meal for 39.99! A+ quality A+ value A+ service We would easily go back any time! *UPDATE* as of Dec/2024 New owners, new prices, not as great as it used to be, definitely the quality and value has took a hit. Still decent but it’s lost something…. Was easily 5/5 not anymore unfortunately.
