Saigon - Asian Street Food

This cozy neighborhood spot was just what I needed for a warm meal. They offered three main soups, and I chose the beef soup with a spicy kick. Although it wasn’t as spicy as I’d hoped, they provided extra dressings that added flavor. The jasmine tea, likely black tea with jasmine, was a nice addition. I also appreciated the variety of toppings they provided for the soup. The decor had a welcoming feel, and the radio was tuned to an Asian channel, adding to the ambiance. The owner, originally from Thailand with Vietnamese heritage, seemed dedicated and brought an authentic touch to the meal. It’s a gem to have nearby, with a cozy vibe and friendly, local feel.

The place was spotless. Smart layout with decor that allows you not feel crowded whilst enjoying authentic Vietnamese food. My brother and I tried several dishes: - House Marinated Chicken Wings - Chilli Lime Prawn Banh Mi - Braised Ribs Banh Mi - House Special Pho Pork Floss & Crackling Bahn Mi (special) The food was fresh, savory, & flawlessly seasoned, with each dish having it's own distinctive perfectly balanced flavor & texture profile. The restaurant staff were authentically kind, attentive and invested in every patron enjoying their food. Great little spot to drop into, or order take out!

I’ve been coming here since they opened. Everything is fresh and has that homemade flavour and feel to its food vs your usual Vietnamese restaurants (which I also love). It’s a cut above.

A delicious first visit that invites you back for more. Quality ethnic food is hard to find in Oakville. In fact, a search for 'banh mi' and 'Oakville' only yield two results (and the Other one is bad). Upon discovering this place, I had to check it out because I love banh mi's. Happy to say that I was not disappointed. In all fairness, I only had one banh mi, but it was quite good, certainly enough to bring me back. I had the Vietnamese BBQ pork and it was yum. Tender pork that's easy to bite through, a sauce that is not too sweet and not too much sauce on the sandwich. Do I detect a little bit of liver that adds some earthy flavour? The bun was fresh with a light toasting (stale bread kills a banh mi). $9 is very reasonable. Staff are pleasant, with one kind enough to bring the sandwich to me outside as I waited with my dog. Looking forward to trying the other banh mi's and the noodles.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food and the service was wonderful. I had a Home Style Pho that was flavourful and delicious. My daughter’s Wonton Soup looked and tasted amazing.

The best Banh Mi I've ever tasted! Although I've never traveled to Vietnam, I've sampled street food across Canada and beyond, and this spot truly stands out. I ordered the short ribs Banh Mi, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was moist, juicy, and packed with incredible flavour. When I asked for it to be spicy, they definitely delivered – it was perfectly spicy, hitting all the right notes without being overwhelming. I regret not taking a photo because I devoured it before even thinking about it! I'll make sure to add one after my next visit. To top it off, the atmosphere was fantastic. There were three guys waiting outside for their orders, and a couple eating inside who was raving about how good the food is. It's no surprise this place has such a great reputation – wow, what an experience! Highly recommend giving this place a try if you're a fan of Banh Mi or just great food in general!

Unbelievably good! We tried the eggs rolls, classic banh mi, bao and shaking beef. All dishes were incredibly flavorful and fresh. Friendly service. Try this spot, you won’t be disappointed!

This place is a great addition to the neighbourhood. Everything we have tried so far is delicious and decent value! We have tried the traditional bahn mi, short rib bahn mi*, pho*, mammas egg rolls*, fresh rolls, and shaking beef in rice special (faves noted*) Definitely a good place to pick up lunch or dinner, or stop in to for a quick bite at their bar counter. You could definitely be satisfied with just one of their main dishes for lunch and stay under the 20$ pp mark, but the appys are tasty! We are SO glad to see Vietnamese food in Kerr Village and hope it sticks around :) @steffy_tries_things
