We called to order food for takeout and firstly, they told us to come in and order. Although we explained we were in a rush, the lady did not want to hear it and cut the phone. When we got the food, it was in bags and some of the idlis had broken. Normally they put it in boxes. My family are regulars here and the food is good, but this service is not it.

I really miss my mother's cooking, and this takeout Deli helps make up for it. The chai, lamb rolls, masala curries and sweet crepes are wonderful.

Chicken kothu gave me stomach pains. It tasted good, but payed the price the next day. The coconut pudding was delicious. Great staff. Low prices.

Lowered my rating as they don't serve the same taste of Biryani anymore. When they introduced Biryani a few months ago, it was red in color with the right mix of spices and tasted heavenly. With in a couple of weeks, they changed the preparation to an average tasting biryani. I go there often for their masala chai and it's price went up from $2.50 to $2.75 recently. Original Review: Their Tamil style Chettinad Chicken Biryani and jeera samba short rice mutton Biryani impressed me with it's simple homestyle masala flavors, good portion of meat and an egg. A must try if you like SriLankan, Tamil Nadu or South Indian food. Generous portion of sambar with red and green chutney and idlies is a must try too. Their prices are on a higher side compared to other take-out SriLankan places.

Good amount of food for too good to go. Waited around 5 mins for the cashier serving others. First time trying food like this, pretty good I would say, like a 7.5/10. But price is only 10 dollars, definitely worth it

Ordered food from here they had whole black peppers inside the medu wada, also they make medu wadas here from Flour(maida) and not the traditional black lentils(udat daal) it tasted stale and they give two very small chatni containers with it and it tastes stale like from the freezer. I’m adding the image of the chatni provided so that you can see how much it was for 8 big pieces of vadas. Good thing the vadas weren’t any good and we didn’t eat them or the chatni wouldn’t have been enough.

Saffron Spice Kitchen is a culinary gem that never fails to impress. Every dish we tried at this establishment was bursting with flavor and left our taste buds craving for more. Among their delectable offerings, my absolute favorite has to be their spicy mutton rolls, which were packed with a perfect balance of heat and tenderness and crisp on the outside. The lamb kothuroti, biryani, curried eggplant, and chili crisp with dried shrimp were equally exceptional, showcasing the chef's skill in creating bold and delicious combinations. With its flavorful menu and impeccable takeout service, Saffron Spice Kitchen has become my go-to place for a satisfying meal. Recently went back to get some take out. Tried their Mysore Dosa. It was extra spicy, just how we ordered. The dosa filling, sambar and the side chutneys were all delicious and full of flavors. All the items are priced just right and the portion sizes generous. Ones of the best South Indian restaurants in town!

Been here twice now and the service has always been great and fast. Their food has good spice to them and is very tasty! With regards to their snacks, I would recommend getting their Butter Chicken roll if you are the type to eat less spicy food. The Mutton roll on the other hand has a great kick and is my favourite! Their Vada is the best one I’ve tried so far - not so oily and is crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and not spicy. Also only takeout, no dine in area.
