Roti N' Ting

No other place will top a spicy jerk chicken roti from here. For the price, the size and taste is amazing. Always super fresh and the staff is so lovely.

I went here last night just before closing. There was a young lady at the counter that wasn’t sure when asked if the doubles were buy 6 get one free. She went to the back for about 10-12 minutes and then my food was brought to me. There did not seem to be a cook there. I could hear a lot of banging around and microwaving. Paid for my food and brought it home. It was disgusting. The dough was hard. The chickpeas were laid between two doughs instead of folded into one nice soft dough. It was cold. There was no flavour to it. We had multiple people at home try it. We all felt the same. I am so disappointed. As I used to go here many years ago and it was the best place to get doubles. I would never go here again. There was a homeless guy outside the store who I had given what I thought was a really nice double, and was disappointed I gave him that as food. Not sure what happened over the years but it’s not a good change. As well there was one other lady with her that didn’t help the other worker but complained about how she wanted to go home. I got there at least 20 minutes or more before closing.

Use to be a good west indie place. Now price gouging people. If your a different race; they tell you a different price. My skin color or religion should not reflect the price. Each time I've been to roti n thing in pickering, it's a different price. I'm sick of paying random higher prices and having less quality & less meat in the food dish. Not likely to go back anytime soon. Unless price is advertised and printed.

Service was not the friendliest, roti was watery and not tasty, definitely not authentic Trinidadian. Four of us came in, two of us ordered 2 rotis, then they didn’t went in the back up assemble it and took about 15 mins. When they came back a third person in our party tried to order a roti too and they told her there was no more- even though they didn’t say that initially at all.. seemed like they just didn’t want to make the third one.

Went here for lunch, used to come here as a kid and the food used to be great but the quality has gone done dramatically. Ordered the oxtail meal along with a goat double the oxtail with rice and peas was soggy and the oxtail itself had no taste. The double the roti tasted stale but the goat inside was surprisingly good. Likely won’t be giving this place another go. On a positive note the service was good. But that’s about it. For $25 not worth it at all.

I got extremely sick after eating from here. I had the Chicken Roti. It tasted fine although the food was extremely wet and sloppy. 12 hours after I ate the Roti, I had digestive issues and the runs. This lasted for the entire next day. I was extremely uncomfortable and had to take the day off work because I was on the toilet every 30 minutes. My concern is that the meat was old and had turned before I ate it. Please be careful if choosing to order here. It's ok to ask questions about when and how the food was prepared.

I WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO PLEASE REALLY PAY ATTENTION TO THIS REVIEW! *CAUTION THE FOOD HERE IS A HEAVY DISGRACE TO THE TRINIDADIAN CULTURE! 🤢🤢🤢 So I decided to try a doubles today from this establishment. When I got my doubles I was confused by the weight it was like a pound. When I opened it up I got a hard and huge doubles burger. This is an insult to the doubles shame on you guys. Your doubles is so bad I won't even give it to a vagrant. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Trust me I would never eat here again!

I have been living in Pickering for almost 3 years and I just discovered this gem. What took me so long? Lol I had their pumpkin and chickpea roti and it was the bomb. It had a light taste and it wasn’t salty which is a good thing. Price wise it’s very reasonable and get good portions plus the people who run it are great. I noticed they had so many regulars. A must try for sure!
