Rose City Pizza

I don't normally add reviews but my work mate Peter brought in a pepperoni Pizza from Rose City. It was the first time for me, I must say, it had to be the best tasting Pizza I've had. Even better than any Pizza I've tried in New York City.

This place is so consistently good- a great place for real, high quality, hand-made pizza. It has been that way since I was a kid and it was in the Ontario st. plaza. I hope it never changes- as of today- still as good as I remember. I wanted a caesar salad this time around with my order and decided to add chicken for like 3 bucks, and for 3 bucks, I expected maybe a decent handful of small pieces- nope, it seemed to be a whole chicken breast sliced up. Also tasted like actual chicken; Not that frozen, processed, fake char marked chicken piece stuff that some other places will give you. This is a huge plus for someone looking to eat out but keep things more "home-cooked" quality, ya know? So of course, real bacon pieces in the salad as well 👍 They also offer anchovies as a normal, non-specialty item. Another big plus if you have that preference for pizza. I don't know if they always do, but the fillets of anchovy on my pizza were chopped into small pieces and spread out to distribute their flavour and saltiness. That's a nice touch you just don't get elsewhere, if anchovies are even an option. Easily the best in Welland. It is clear they care about quality and have maintained it throughout the years. Kudos to that.

Rose City Pizza is an absolute gem of a pizza place. Have been a few times, and just recently ordered an XL double pepperoni. This place consistently makes a delicious pie. Highly recommend!

Amazing pizza. We drive almost 30 minutes one way just to get their pizza often because it's so good. It's always busy and as soon as you try their pizza youll know why it's excellent.

Great take out slice. I love their slices. One of the few places where a ready made slice is moist and flavourful. A bit greasier than corporate slices but I like that.

This is our family’s go-to pizza place. We usually get the vegetarian party tray, but have occasionally gotten the Greek pizza party tray or a smaller vegetarian pizza. The food is usually ready on or before the estimated time, and service is pleasant. Occasionally have gotten a pizza sub here as well and you can choose any three items of your choice. They’re tasty also. But it’s been awhile since I’ve had this.

this pizza has changed so much. why is it so sweet now? I had a slice today and the sauce tasted like it was for a dessert pizza. I was looking around my car for an old salt packet to change the flavour profile from way too sweet to savoury. can you imagine thinking of adding salt to a pizza slice? absurd! this is way different from 5 years ago when I used to live here. the focaccia sandwich was nice tho. the toppings were a little light but whatever. it was better then the pizza which got tossed into the bin halfway through eating
