I've been looking for a Filipino restaurant since we moved to Oakville, and I finally saw this one. I'm glad I did. Food is delicious and the staff are very nice. We had kare-kare, bbq skewers, garlic fried rice, sago with gulaman, and last but not the least, halo-halo. Nice big variety, and we will definitely be back.

Wonderful service, delicious food! Beef caldereta, kare kare with bagoong, sisig, lechon kawali, pares were all incredible! Leave room for desert, the halo halo is a must. Just an fyi bring cash or debit.

Finally, a fantastic, authentic Filipino dine-in/take out place within the Halton & Hamilton area! We decided to try Mikaela’s in person as my partner orders their empanadas every week from a coworker who regularly orders from here too. Dang, this restaurant did not disappoint! We ordered the Bilao Family Meal—a meal meant to serve 4 to 6 people when in fact, the generous size portion at Mikaela’s would realistically feed 6 people, minimum. Because we wanted to try so much more, we also got the lechon kawali (masarap!) and sisig (my all-time favourite Filipino dish) which they served hot on a sizzling plate with a freshly cracked egg—the only way sisig should be served! The restaurant is so beautifully decorated and gives such a “homey” vibe. And the service? No words; they truly make you feel like family 🥰 We got buko pandan to go and let me tell you, I savoured every bite. We went with 2 of our good friends who are newer to Filipino food, and they could not stop raving about it. We can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes! Advance apologies to my waistline! 🤭

Great little Philippino restaurant for some Philipino food. This restaurant provides some great dishes at great prices. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very nice, they helped us choose some popular dishes. The food we had was great, tasted excellent. Looking forward to going there again.

Me and my friend came here last weekend as we are craving for some Filipino food! We are always a little skeptical to go to filipino restaurants as we have a particular taste that we look for. However, Mikaela’s kitchen is one of the filipino restaurants we will come back to! Ambiance gives a “homie” vibe which I like. Their service is good and their serving /pricing is fair. We ordered sisig (we love that it is served on a sizzling plate with fresh raw eggs), pinakbet (squash/ vegetable) and rolled pork belly. All of which taste amazing! Tried their karyoka too, very good :) we need more filipino restaurants like this out west :) thank you for the yummy food. Cant wait to try other dishes

Don’t be fooled by the restaurant’s hidden location, unassuming appearance and small size. Upon entering, I felt a sense of warmth from the colourful decorations and wooden tables. But most of all, it was the hospitality that touched me! If you’re looking for a combination of visiting a store run by your favourite auntie or grandma (the staff treated me as if I were their family!!), mouth-watering food (with a perfect balance of flavours, not too strong), big portions (the generous scoops felt like my mom trying to feed me as much food as possible for fear of me starving), and, in this age of inflation, amazingly affordable prices, then please LOOK NO FURTHER! I was so genuinely touched by the hospitality here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was only my second time having Filipino food and I loved it so much, I just can’t wait to come back. P.S. They can make special kinds of food for you, just call in advance! Next time, I’d love to try the jackfruit :)

The location is a little hidden gem within a residential area. We came right before the Sunday church rush so it was nice and empty for us. The server was nice and the food all looked and tasted very authentic. Definitely a go to place if you're craving Filipino food in Burlington. Prices were reasonable, I believe it was 15 per container but the containers should last you at least 3-4 meals with rice.
