Mehfill Indian Cuisine- (Newmarket)

Mehfill offered a great lunch experience with its authentic Indian cuisine and outstanding service. The dishes are rich in flavor and perfectly balanced, giving you a real taste of India. The variety on the menu caters to all preferences, from mild to spicy. Pooja did an excellent job with service, was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring everyone felt welcome and well taken care of. Her recommendations were spot on, adding to the overall enjoyment. Great authentic Indian food!!

Nice staff, food was okay. I ordered my meal off of uber eats for pickup out of convenience, and they happened to have a buy one get one free deal for the butter chicken. However, I don’t know if I got something else or the butter chicken was a different recipe, but it tasted more like tomato sauce. The guy handing it to me called it Vindaloo, but I am not sure. The curry did taste good, just not like butter chicken. There were all of three pieces of chicken in each order. So I’m sure it’s just a regular portion split into two to get more orders off of the app.

Mehfill is a wonderful restaurant with amazing service. The garlic naan and chicken tikka misala was full of flavour and fresh. The service was quick and very friendly. Will definitely be ordering takeout or coming back again

I recently dined at Mehfill, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty, and I was the only customer dining in. I initially felt uncomfortable sitting in the chair provided, so I asked the waitress if I could move to a booth. To my surprise, she informed me that there would be an extra charge to sit in a booth. I've never encountered this kind of policy before, especially when the restaurant was empty. As for the food, I ordered the chicken biryani, but it tasted nothing like what a biryani should. The seasoning they used was overpowering and completely overshadowed the flavor of the dish. It was a letdown, to say the least. Overall, the experience was poor, and I would not recommend this restaurant. The uncomfortable seating policy and subpar food made for an unpleasant dining experience.

Recently visited Mehfill and tried the Veg Tandoori Momo, Chole Bhature, and Masala Soda. The momos were tasty, served with green mint chutney. The Chole Bhature came with achaar and mix veg raita; the bhature were soft and fluffy! Everything was great, and the ambiance was lovely too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance—both were tasty and delightful. The naan was particularly soft and fluffy. However, there is room for improvement in their customer service. During my visit, I accidentally spilled a drink, which was entirely my fault, and I felt genuinely sorry about it. The cashier taking our order seemed stressed, which made the situation uncomfortable. I understand the inconvenience caused by the spill, but unfortunately, no one offered to change our table or assist with cleaning. The waiter watched as I struggled to clean it up with just a single tissue. After the incident, dining became less enjoyable as the table and surroundings remained sticky. I had to finish my meal in these conditions without any offered assistance. When settling the bill, I acknowledged my mistake with a $20 tip and an apology. However, there was no acknowledgment or understanding from the cashier, who appeared visibly stressed and displayed an unhelpful attitude. This lack of responsiveness was disappointing, and I believe they should prioritize handling such situations with more empathy and a smile. Mistakes are inevitable, but I didn't anticipate such poor customer support. Overall, the food quality is commendable, but the experience was marred by disappointing customer service.

My husband and I dined here for lunch, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. This is some of the best Indian food we've had, and we tend to seek places out because we really enjoy this cuisine. Everything was fresh and flavourful. The chicken korma had a really nice depth of flavour that I really enjoyed. Our server Priya was attentive and helpful. I highly recommend Mehfill if you're looking for some delicious authentic Indian food in and near Newmarket!

Ordered food for 2 people for $50 (chilly chicken) to receive a portion smaller than a bowl of soup with not enough portion. Food was disappointing with no real taste or flavour. Just 2 small shreds of chicken in a spicy gravy and a few chillies. They should rather go rob people in daylight than this kind of Indian food. Don’t believe the paid reviews for ad. Avoid at any costs
