Markham Sushi

I visited Markham Sushi on New Year's Eve, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The service was extremely poor and both servers displayed unprofessional behavior and a bad attitude throughout the evening. It seems like the management had changed, and it clearly reflected in the service quality. I used to enjoy coming here, but after the experience, I don't see myself running anytime soon. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and works on improving the service.

The service was terrible and bad attitude and was not polite and no smile. Also in the dining area it was unbelievable that there was someone else's snow boot. I will not come back again.

I am very impressed! My boyfriend and I went here on a date in October. I haven’t had sushi from Ontario in so long. It was nice to eat sushi out from the east again. The owner was very kind, very professional and provided excellent service. She allowed us to have a sushi boat which I yearned for, on a small order of sushi. An oh my goodness, the miso soup is amazing! Normally it is a hit or miss with miso, but this one hits harder than anything that hits you in life. The broth is so flavourful, the complementary miso was just amazing! The food was very highly quality. I recommend this place!

Very yummy speciality rolls, the ingredients are very well balanced and taste fresh. We got the Volcano roll & the double crunch roll... The two tempura that came on top were huge! Service was quick & friendly. We came for lunch and we were seated right away.

It's a typical old-school sushi restaurant. We ordered the lunch specials, which included a small salad, miso soup, eight assorted sushi pieces, and six rolls. The quality was average—nothing particularly exceptional or disappointing. The servers were friendly. I'd recommend this place if you're in the area.

Really good food and great service. Prices are decent $20-30 for a bento box, or a kitchen special. I had the combo with salmon teriyaki and spicy salmon maki rolls. We also had the chicken cutlet salmon maki and dragon roll. The chicken cutlet was one of the best we had. The salmon teriyaki was cooked perfectly. The servings were very generous so it was great value for the $$. When next I’m in the neighborhood I’m sure to burt again. I’ll definitely recommend this spot for great sushi. The staff was very friendly, service was great, fast service. Definitely 5 stars.

Hard to find a better sushi spot in the area, this place serves fresh sushi and I had the chance to experience their party tray. The presentation was good and the food was great. One negative is the location, it’s inside a plaza and the restaurant door does not offer much of a wind protection. Whenever a person walked in/out we got hit with a solid breeze.
