We are a family-based business inspired to offer you the most traditional flavours of Mexico. Our Mother Maria, who was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, developed a passion for cooking at a young age. Her secret recipes passed on from family generations, will show and taste in her food. Maria prepares everything fresh from scratch and most importantly with “Love”!

Service was very friendly, warm, helpful and patient. The restaurant was clean and cute, very well organized and loads of authenticity. We loved the fact that we get our own water from the cooler and the food was amazing. My party of 3 ordered the tortilla chips/roja salsa as a starter and the the chips were fresh, big, unbroken and very tasty. The salsa roja was spicy. Which was perfect for my daughters and I. As mains we ordered taco plates and Birria tacos. It arrived expeditiously and we were impressed by the presentation. We all enjoyed our dishes tremendously and everything on the plate was delicious. Pricing is very reasonable in today’s restaurant climate where value for money is difficult to achieve. This restaurant is definitely worth it. My only issue is trying to find the time to return.

Authentic Mexican food and drinks! Definite visit when I crave great Birria tacos. Not the biggest seating space but I’m sure they’ll expand soon, seeing how good their food is and how busy they are.

Ordered the Enchilada plate and some nachos for takeout . The food was fresh and very flavourful! Can't wait to try some other dishes! Parking seemed to be tight and limited but I managed to find a spot and run in to grab the grub.

This place is popular for a reason! My first time here and I would definitely come back for more! Service is good, wait time is not too long, on Sunday around lunch time they still had seats available. Price is good, which is a big plus and the food is amazing! If you are hungry for tacos or anything else Mexican that would be the spot!

We've had Maria's Tortas on our "restaurants to visit" list for too long. Finally got there Friday night. Pack your patience as it can be busy. The dining area is small and they are popular! However, it is completely worth the wait. We left stuffed and satisfied. I (and a companion) had the Birria de Res, my partner had the Enchiladas, and my poutine obsessed kid had the Papas Asada. Jarritos quenched the thirst (and some of the heat from the Mango Habanero salsa...). Lots of happy diners - upbeat positive vibe! I'd like to stop in at a quieter time to try more of the menu - especially dessert. It was a rookie move to not save room this time. August 30, 2024 M & S, C & J

This is one of my favourite places in Hamilton to go to for food! It is so good, the birria tacos are my favourite, the tortilla soup is exceptional and the birria nachos are *chefs kiss* ! Not to mention the tajin and chamoy fruit is always delicious as well, I love that they don’t sell on food delivery apps as well because the integrity of the food is never compromised! Will always recommend this place and don’t even mind waiting longer some days because the food is always great!

I wish I could leave reviews for this place everytime I eat here. It has never ever once disappointed. The staff is always friendly, smiling and helpful and they always deliver the best meals when I ask them to "surprise me". The place is beautiful, the food is 10/10 every single time and the fact that it's still affordable to have quality food, is the cherry on top. We have always loved Maria's and we will always always ALWAYS come back here. ❤️🤍🇲🇽
