Maihan Restaurant

The food was amazing and the servers were very accommodating. They gave us a discount because we waited so long and apologized because they were short staffed. They took a long time to get our food, which made sense because it was Christmas and the restaurant was packed. I will definitely be coming back soon.

We book the restaurant 1 day before for 14 people. When we got to the restaurant. The owner did not make arrangements for the 14 people table. We had to arrange the tables ourselves. Then the owner told us that they do not have kebab. And asked us to leave the restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I came here for my birthday and had a wonderful time. I had an amazing dining experience at Maihan! I ordered the kabob kobidah, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender.

The foods were great. I'm giving 4star to food only beacuse I don't like cumin. Since it is quite a matter of taste, I think it's better not to be used or it should be mentioned on the ingredients. The bread was fresh and hot. I really enjoyed it. The server and cashier were very polite and welcoming.

I walked into this restaurant thinking it is "La Bella Italia" as the decoration and tables/chairs are the same as before. The only difference is the large hung Venice canal photo has been taken down from the wall. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the restaurant is now serving Afghan cuisine. Our server gave us a lay of the land since this was our first visit. Surprisingly, the menu still offers " Margherita Pizza" and "Rose Penne". We tried a few of their appetizers: 1. Hummus with Naan 2. Salata 3. Samosa All three dishes tasted fresh with quality ingredients. The Naan is actually a very thick bread almost like a oval shaped flat bread (rather than the Indian Naan which is much thinner). We tried a few main course entrees: 1. Two skewers of Kobidah with rice 2. Chicken kabob with rice 3. Afghan pasta Kobidah was excellent with its spice and beef. Chicken kabob was tender and juicy, cooked just right and not overly burnt. Afghan pasta was served slightly chilled with a yogurt base. Their rice pudding and baklava were also delicious. The restaurant was very hospitable offering us complimentary green tea to end our meal. Great service and wonderful food.

Atmosphere 5 stars - Very nice dining seating Service 5 stars- Server was very welcoming and gave exceptional service👍 Order the Kobidah Kabob plate and substitute the regular rice with Qabuli rice 5/5 meat was really tender and flavorful! loved it! Ordered the Bolani was loaded with potatoes and herbs and came with a very nice mint chilli sweet sauce 4.5/5 (I found the potatoes a little on the moist side I would have preferred if it was a bit more dry/compact this is my personal preference) Ordered the Korma- 4.5/5 This Korma was very aromatic never tasted something like this in other Afghan restaurants. I guess this restaurant dish is inspired from a different region in aghanistan 🤗 I oredered a naan, I don't have a picture of it. however it was a 1/5 for me. Overall I give Maihan restaurant a 4/5 on my first visit. I would come back again and try other menu items! Portion was generous, food is overall delicious and filling!

One of me and my family's favorite afghan restaurant in the gta. Their aashak is delicious and the most authentic one we've had outside of our home. There were many unique items not found in other afghan restaurants such as Shor Nakhod and Deqcha. Their green tea with the touch of saffron and dough with cucumber and mint was refreshing. Their service was great as well, they offered complementary firni and tea and the waiters were welcoming. Definitely would come again, and I recommend for you to come and try the food here.

I recently dined at the new Maihan afghan a restaurant in Maple and was thoroughly impressed. The warm hospitality and charming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The menu features a variety of authentic Afghan dishes, all made with fresh ingredients and perfect spices. Each dish was flavorful and expertly prepared. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. This new Afghan Halal restaurant in Maple is a true gem, offering exceptional food and service. Highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious, authentic Afghan cuisine.
