Our first time trying this restaurant and we were blown away. The surf and turf was the best I’ve ever had. Oysters were delicious. Our server Jen was incredible. Can’t wait to come back! 10/10 ⭐️

Came in knowing little to nothing about the concept of this restaurant (which I guess is my mistake) but I personally didn’t want to cook my own steak at the table. By looking at the menu, there was only 2 options of steak that came grilled by the kitchen and ready to eat, and didn’t want either one of those so I had to resort to a “lava stone” option. Horrible concept really, you get a huge chunk of raw meat that takes forever to cook while all your (Bland) side dishes get cold. The server told me to “chop the meat up to smaller pieces so it cooks faster” and for me that is the last thing I want to do to a $50 piece of meat, hacking it up and not giving it proper time to rest seems so silly to me. As we were eating I overheard the server tell another table they could have any steak option on the menu come already cooked, so I left upset not having been told that information before ordering. We Left so underwhelmed by the “flavour” of the food and my hair and clothes smelling like charred meat. Will not be going back.

I really like the lamb steak! 😋 Also, the side rice was really flavorful. 🤔 I don't know why, but the rice tastes like tteokbokki. 🤨 And I got two potatoes, but they weren't cooked very well. 😒 So I politely asked if the potatoes could be cooked again. The server was really kind and friendly and said she would bring new ones. 😍 The server was really, really kind and friendly! 🥰 I want to give 10 stars for the service. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I am so thankful to Jenn!! She is absolutely the kindest server.

We went last night to celebrate my sons birthday. We are so happy we chose it. The food was delicious and it was great that we got to cook our meat and seafood on the hot plate to our liking in our time so it is always hot. Our server Jenn was super nice and helpful. This is definitely a place we will return to. Thanks for making it a great birthday dinner!

An absolutely wonderful first experience! Food was good, so interesting cooking on hot stones. French onion soup was quite salty and the lava cake was very sweet but both the lamp rack and the sirloin were great. The seafood fettuccine was heavenly. Our waitress, Christie, was super nice and attentive. We were seated by an electric fireplace, a very cozy atmosphere for a fall evening. We are already planning our second visit!!

I had an amazing meal at Lot 88 Steakhouse on Appleby. The steak on a stone was a standout—juicy, flavorful, and fun to cook right at the table. The sides were delicious, and the service was exceptional. The staff made sure we were well taken care of, adding to the overall great atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and satisfying dining experience!

I recently visited Lot 88 in Burlington with a party of six for dinner, curious about the new establishment that seemed to have taken over a large sushi restaurant in a bustling plaza. The location was ideal, offering ample parking and being wheelchair accessible ♿, a feature I always appreciate for its inclusivity. On top of that, I made sure to check out the bathrooms and they were very accessible and could accommodate wheelchairs of all sizes. so the washrooms are accessible they had good accessibility in the front doors, accessibility getting into the location and throughout the restaurant as well as had accessible tables. Upon entering, I noticed the restaurant's spacious layout, featuring a variety of booth sizes and table seating at the rear. Cleanliness was evident throughout the establishment, including the well-maintained and tastefully appointed washrooms, which is always a plus in my book. The menu was extensive, and we decided to sample a range of dishes, starting with oysters, calamari, mini Yorkies, and the unique steak on the stone. The food quality was generally good, with a particular highlight being the oysters. However, the steak experience left much to be desired. While the concept of cooking your steak on a hot stone was intriguing, the execution was flawed. The stone was hot enough to cook the steak but didn't provide the necessary sear, resulting in bites that were more grayish than appetizing. Moreover, the steak lacked flavor, likely due to its poor marbling, which I suspect was of choice grade quality. This resulted in one of the worst steaks I've ever had, despite the novelty of the cooking method. The service was adequate but far from exceptional. On a busy Friday night, the staff seemed overwhelmed even though the restaurant wasn't packed. I would rate the service a four out of ten, indicating room for significant improvement. In summary, while Lot 88 offers some decent dishes and a unique dining experience with the stone-cooked steak, the execution falls short, particularly with the steak quality. Despite the overall cleanliness and accessible location, the mediocre service and disappointing steak experience overshadowed the positives. I wouldn't discourage anyone from visiting Lot 88 at least once, as there are elements worth trying. However, with so many excellent dining options in Burlington, I don't see myself returning to Lot 88. The restaurant's potential is evident, but significant improvements are needed to make it a repeat choice for diners.

Had an excellent steak and salmon dinner. Jenn and Christie were amazing hostesses who did well with the toddler with had with us. Started with the wonton nachos which were great as well I would give a heads up if you’re looking for plain fries / nachos this are pretty heavily seasoned. Our toddler didn’t care for all the seasoning, and I would ask for plain if sharing with him next time again
