Lena's Roti & Doubles

I don’t usually care to review places but I’ve been thinking about this food for 2 days after I’ve had it and thought it deserves it. This is hands down the best roti and doubles I’ve ever had. The chicken they give in the roti is so much nice white meat huge pieces ! Not the gross questionable dark meat you find in so many other restaurants. They use quality meat and the food was perfect 10/10 no critiques no complaints. Oh and btw!’ I have a family of 3 I don’t know anywhere you can go and only pay 40$ for everyone!!! I will be back for sure . I only bought Theyre pepper sauce ! Everything was amazing I can’t hype this place up enough!

The goat roti here is unbelievable. Sooo flavourful and the spicy is good and hot, but not so hot you don’t enjoy it (if you like HOT). The medium is perfect for most. An absolute gem and the ladies here are super sweet! An absolute gem In Burlington!

If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would! This restaurant is an absolute gem. The staff are incredible—always warm, welcoming, and attentive, making every visit a pleasure. The food is simply outstanding—consistently fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared every single time. You can tell there’s a lot of care and quality put into every dish. I can’t stop getting the Curried Chicken in Paratha Roti—it’s hands-down the best I’ve ever had! On top of that, the portions are generous, and the value for the price is exceptional. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, this place is guaranteed to impress. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Called ahead for ordering Roti skins. Avin was so polite on the phone. Patient with me too had too many yummy options so making decisions was a little…. He Packed my order to ensure food safety for my long drive home. I haven’t had doubles in a year. So happy my friend recommended this place! I will be back. Spent a little more than I wanted. But these treats are worth it!

Best doubles I've had in quite a while. They prepare them from scratch as soon as you order. I got the medium spicy ones and they were delicious. Perfectly balanced flavors. Brought back happy memories of a roadside breakfast in Port of Spain. Will be recommending and trying the other dishes. I noticed they also have a snack section with Pone, chips, fried channa, tamarind balls and other temptations. I'll be back!

I visited this location today and I was met with a wonderful and familiar aroma that drew me in from the street. I decided to get doubles to go since they are a favorite street food in West Indian culture. The staff here were friendly, greeted me upon entering the establishment and the service was fast. I bought both spicy and non spicy. Both taste amazing but the edge is for spicy since I enjoy the heat. The interior is colorful and welcoming, lots of seating, and clean. They have daily specials here too! Definitely recommend checking them out.

Update - Thanksgiving October Special. Buy 2 doubles get 1 free. Prepare yourself (yuhself) for one of the most authentic experience for Trinbagonian Street Food outside the twin islands. This was undoubtedly one of the best doubles I have had in Canada so far and is the BESSSST (bess doubles). Now the pics I have shared are because doubles dont get enough talk time. Further the stainless steel box with warmers and sauces was a class act to see your food made infront of you as it is on the streets in Trinidad. The location was clean well kept and neatly tucked in Burlington. I cannot wait for a Hamilton location to come fast enough. Lena's has 5 current locations across the GTA and I believe one of thr best deployments of a franchise to get the Trini scene recognised without a hyperfocused central location is PEEL region. Awesome job Lena's team and great service on this Carnival Tuesday 2024.
