Joy Inn Restaurant & Tavern

It was close to closing time and the team at Joy Inn accepted our order and had it ready quickly. The food was tasty- we had a Cantonese chow mein, egg rolls and general Tao chicken. Kind lady, good and quick food.

This might have been the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The rice, noodles and ribs were all hard and dry, like they had been cooked the day before and reheated yet the shrimps in the rice were still translucent which means they were undercooked. The spring rolls were filled with an unappealing mush that looked like cabbage with a few strings of carrots and all the food was bland. We ordered from here because it was close; next time we'll drive further and get food that's actually decent.

Food was utterly disgusting, flavourless and disgusting in texture. Service was terrible, not respect, not decency, no etiquette. I am appalled and quite frankly I am surprised this establishment is operating the way it is. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I FELT LIKE I WAS IN A 3rd WORLD COUNTRY!! NEVER GOING BACK

Tonight New Year’s Eve at 5:20pm we order our dinner . The lady on the phone wasn’t our normal lady we speak too . At 5:40 pm we received our food it wasn’t hot . We opened the bags and our green pepper with beef missing . I called right away and told the lady . She told me I have to expect this as it’s new years . No sorry no nothing . my husband heard her say we need to expect this , he wasn’t happy and was telling her loudly that he wants his food or the driver can come back and pick up all the food and refund him. She told him to calm down and gave me two choices . To take a credit for next time . Or come pick up the missing item . I explained to her we couldn’t pick up as we had had a couple drinks and it’s not right to drive and that I would like my green pepper and beef delivered . Again she said she couldn’t do that . But we payed for delivery of our food . I’ve never been treated so rudely by this restaurant as we are regular customers . The lady ended up hanging up on me . I called back and told her that I would like the missing item . She said she would deliver. At 6:27 we received the missing item . We know it’s not the delivery guys fault and we did tip him 10.00 and change . But to hear this restaurant say we have to expect this as it’s new years its unacceptable . Just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean we should go with out the food we ordered our order was 75.64 . Very disappointed . I don’t see us coming back after the way the lady wasn’t understanding and hanging up on a customer . Not professional at all .

I am very upset with this restaurant on Mother's Day. We have been coming here for years and on Mother's Day. They have a menu that says no discounts or free dishes after a certain amount, I feel this is discriminating and very unrespectful of mothers on their special day. Why should this restaurant be discriminating their prices on this day? They should be happy. To give us the discount and the free dish if we are entitled to this like always every day .I have been coming here for many years and I feel they are taking advantage on families for Mother's Day. This restaurant should be ashamed for what they are doing. There are many customers that support this restaurant. So why are they being so cheap on this day? Shame on this establishment and I think from now on. I will not come back here because I don't believe in what they Are doing? I hope many people will comment on this because they want us to support local business but this local business does not support us.l give this 0 stars out of 5.

Seriously delicious, high quality ingredients, no fake red-dyed syrup coated chicken. My only complaint would be the hot and sour - which is almost impossible to get a delicious bowl of at a carry out- was oddly sweet. It was still way better than many I have tried what was my least favourite thing of the order. It's definitely my new go to Chinese joint! Also? So speedy!

Ordered a dinner for 3 people. plus a few extras. There was 4 of us for dinner. We still have a bit leftover. Food is always hot and fresh. Staff friendly. Better then what you get in the malls. prices have gone up But that is to be expected.
