We started going to this restaurant over 25 years ago and it is as good now as it was back then - which is excellent. All that has changed slowly is the staff and all as fine as anyone would expect. The portions are large, the choices are broad and the beautiful decor is as as warm and inviting as ever. The star of this family restaurant, Jenny, is still in attendance but only on Friday nights 4pm to 7pm. We have to travel a fairly long distance but we'll have to make a special trip. One last thing, yes they still do excellent Mushy Peas and Scottish bread as a side order.

Lovely local spot in the city. Greeted right upon entry and dined in. Ordered the haddock and chips and it was crispy and delicious. Service was excellent and speedy! Will definitely come back when I’m in the area again!

Ordered halibut, haddock, and chips from here a few days ago after reading positive reviews. The fish portions are large, the batter is crispy and not overly oily, and the chips were perfect - not overcooked and dry like a lot of places. They did make a minor mistake giving me smushed peas instead of gravy but that can happen anywhere. High quality for the price paid will definitely be coming back again.

My family and I have been coming here for years. Our order is always the halibut and chips and shrimp and chips. That portions are generous and the batter on the fish is light and crisp, it's not a thick batter that soaks up all the oil. The shrimp is cooked perfect everytime, the same with the halibut where it is moist and flakey. We haven't had a bad experience or meal over the years, they've been consistent even when busy. This restaurant is priced just right for their portions. When dining inside, Ben is a great host and very accommodating. Jasper's definitely ranks in the top for best fish and chips spots in the GTA for me.

Food was delicious, fish was light and cooked to perfection with batter light and crisp. Only thing I would say is chips needed just a small did of salt fresh when coming out of fryer. But definitely worth 5 star review all over.
