I ordered the mac and cheese and jerk chicken and rice. The flavors were on point, the portion sizes were very adequate. The service was excellent. I woukd definitely recommend and look forward to eating there again.

Cornbread is absolutely delicious!! Coconut shrimp was amazing!! My favourite is the oxtail stew - fell off the bone!!! Keiyshia is just the loveliest and friendliest owner!! Highly recommend this adorable restaurant t!!

Relaxed vibe, trendy interior, comfort food that hits the spot! Service was friendly and excellent. Food is clearly made from scratch. Gold flakes on my mocktail was a nice touch.

Dined here last Friday and ordered the plantain nachos, jerk chicken, and vegetarian curry. Everything was delicious! Rum punch and corn bread not pictured but was also 10/10!

I have been here 7 times. I will definitely be back. The service is very friendly. The food is piping hot! The cutlery is gold, as well as some of the accents around the place. The bathrooms and dining area are very clean. Drinks and food are delicious. If you like mixed cocktails, this is the place to go. I can't wait to eat there again and to use their catering services.

Drove over an hour from Toronto to Hamilton, this past weekend, to try Island Queens, and it was well worth the trip, especially being of Jamaican descent. While Toronto has its fair share of Jamaican restaurants, they tend to be takeout spots, so it was refreshing to enjoy an authentic Jamaican dine-in experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance stood out — modern yet homey, not overwhelming. It wasn’t busy when we arrived, but we were early for their evening service. We were warmly greeted by Michael, and soon after, Chef Marjorie and her daughter Amanda came out to welcome us personally, setting the tone for a wonderful dining experience. We started with the plantain nachos with chicken, festival and complimentary cornbread and ordered a variety of main dishes, including fried chicken with rice and peas, Rasta pasta with shrimp, pineapple fried rice with chicken, and wings with fries. Each dish surprised us with authentic, bold flavors that transported us to Kingston, Jamaica. The execution was perfect, capturing the essence of Jamaican cuisine while adding a unique touch. The prices were reasonable, considering it wasn’t just takeout — it was an entire dining experience. Plus, being able to enjoy Red Stripe beer was like a taste of home. We finished our meal with their apple crumble, the perfect end to an incredible meal. Overall, Island Queens is a 10/10. We’ll definitely make the journey to dine here again, and I’m excited to see where this family-owned business goes. Wishing them continued success as they grow and flourish!

I recently visited Island Queens and had an incredible experience. I ordered the oxtail with rice, mac & cheese, cornbread, and coconut shrimp, and everything was absolutely fantastic. The oxtail was amazing, flavored perfectly, and the rice complemented it wonderfully. The mac & cheese was also excellent, incredibly tasty with a rich, creamy texture. The cornbread stood out as some of the best I've ever had—moist and delicious. The coconut shrimp was phenomenal, and the sauce they provided with it was equally amazing. The service was outstanding. The lady who assisted my friend and me was extremely nice, very helpful, and guided us through the menu since it was my first time there. Her recommendations were spot on. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, making Island Queens a hidden gem. I give this place a solid five out of five and will definitely be returning 100%.

Had dinner on mother's day at Island Queens and the experience was excellent. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We had the oxtail, jerk chicken, barbecue chicken, pineapple shrimp fried rice and plantain nachos. Everything was great. We will definitely be back.
