Inspire Restaurant

This place is amazing. It's very nicely decorated. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The food, however steals the show. Every member of my party agreed it was among the best meals we've ever eaten. We'll definitely be coming back.

Been here a few times over the years ever since they opened - happy to say that they remain one of my favourite restaurants in Markham! They specialize in East Asian fusion cuisine (brunch and dinner), and often have a small but creative rotating menu. Recently I came for both dinner and brunch and ordered the Lemongrass Chick and Frites, Spicy Vodka Udon, and Shiitake Gravy Katsu Chicken Rice. A standout feature of Inspire is that they always have large portions of food - even the appetizer was able to be generously shared amongst 3 people. The flavours of the katsu rice and udon were also distinct yet balanced. Each bite, you can expect to get lots of ingredients and taste the different layers incorporated into the dish. My only critique would be that the floors are a little sticky - however, the space itself looks quite nice and service is consistently wonderful!

Went to Inspire for my friends birthday and the food was amazing 🫶Would definitely come back for the udon & Katsu miso slaw again! The portions were also decently sized. The service was incredible - our server Alan made the experience even more memorable! However since it’s so popular/ the space is smaller, I would recommend booking early

Came here with 6 other people. We were all happy with our food. Fries were really good - crisp and well seasoned. Udon and satay chicken were the star. The only down side was food service was very slow. We arrived at 6:30 by 7:45 we were still waiting for our menu. No one came to tell us what the problem was in the kitchen. One of our drink order was also missed. They serve delicious fusion food but if service is this slow, I’m not sure I’d be frequenting this place.

Update rating based on recent experience. I found the Yuzu Garlic Shrimp Rice Bowl to be disappointing. The shrimp were coated with an excessively thick flour, resulting in a taste that was unrefined and reminiscent of fast food. In comparison to other dishes I've tried from Inspire, this bowl was notably inferior and did not justify the price. Super recommended! The atmosphere of this place is very chill and modern, no unnecessary loud music, no excessive darkened ambiance. The food is so rich in flavor and every bite simply tastes beautiful. Thank you so much for the wonderful food and dining experience!! 🎉🎉 We'll be back for sure! Highly recommend the udon dish!!
