Hungry For Shawarma

The food is fresh, the service friendly and inviting, I'd say give this place a try if you're in the area. I was also offered a taste test of tbe butter chicken and was delicious (something for next time) Order the chicken Shawarma platter, very filling. The sauces were nice, the pickled veggies were crispy, the dressing (patoosh?) was better then I imagined.. Thank you for your amazing food.

The butter chicken shawarma rice bowl was the best food here. I got my bowl loaded with a lot of chicken with delicious garlic sauce. The employees are very friendly and respectful. I would love their service again.

Atmosphere is tyical run down shawarma join. I got the shawarma poutine, hot sauce taste cheap, the fries are literally like stale fries you buy at the grocery store. I don't know how it has more than 2 stars, their food does not taste good, I threw it out actually. Should have listened to the warnings review. I feel absolutely scammed. Btw man working counter barely speaks english but that's not really that bad if the food is good and they understand menu items, which he did not. Sometimes you can tell when a person serving you the food has never eaten what they served by how they plate the food. I give the food a 1 star, because I wouldn’t eat it if it was free and i was hungry. I’ll give the service and atmosphere 3 stars because it wasn’t average standard.

Ordered a butter chicken wrap (not pictured) combo. The wrap was filled and had good portions of everything; however, the wrap didn’t hold together even when the employee was wrapping and grilling it, so it pretty much disintegrated by the time I was able to eat it. The chicken was pretty tender and the wrap was good, but I could only finish half due to the rest falling apart. The fries were not good. I think the oil hasn’t been changed in a while, as they were a dark brown despite not being too crispy. The oil on the sides of the container was quite dark and thick, and the fries tasted like oil and nothing else. Service was good, the employee handling my order was nice and made my order relatively quick considering he seemed to be the only worker at the front. However, for a nearly $18 meal after tax and tip, I can’t say the food I received was worth it. The quality would be great if the fry oil was changed more often and wraps were packaged better, I would consider going back to try a rice bowl!

All in all, it was a pretty disappointing first visit to this local place. Service was pretty slow, considering we were the only ones ordering (1 beef wrap, 1 chicken wrap). Beef was so overcooked, it was so chewy as to be inedible. The chicken was middling in flavour. The wraps were a bit small compared to most other places I've been. The fries were underfilled, about half contained and tasted like grocery store brand.

Samosas are good just was there ordered a regular putine didn't even fill it up didn't fill me at all. Also ordered two chicken nuggets didn't give us sauce for both the one sauce they did give hardly any in the small container they give you . Also the fries for the putine where not cooked enough was soggy . The only thing we enjoyed was the samosas. Spent total of $50 here won't be again.

It’s so sad that I’m writing this because at one point I stood by this place and truly enjoyed it but the new employees and lack of focus/training/care from the owner have completely demolished the food quality and service over the past few months. I live right beside the plaza and use to go to this place on a consistent basis because it was so close and actually good at the time, but ever since the main lady behind the counter left I have not enjoyed my food there once. Today I thought I’d give it a shot since it’s been awhile and all I got was a slap in the face to what I know can come out of that restaurant. I simply ordered a poutine and this is what I received.. Not only did it look like garbage, it tasted like garbage and well digging through it because I couldn’t believe my eyes I found a piece of something? And a hair.. Better training definitely needs to be given to those employees and better health protocols need to be put in place, because I’m appalled.
