hungry dude

We were looking for a local restaurant while passing through the area and decided to try Hungry Dude and I’m so glad we did! It’s a new spot, just opened in September, but it has so much potential. We ordered a triple patty burger and a double patty burger. The triple was incredible, three perfectly smashed, juicy patties with cheese stacked together. The owner anticipated how messy it might get and offered us gloves, which was such a thoughtful touch. The patties were clearly homemade, not frozen, and prepared right in front of us. The hot sauce and jalapeño pieces I added made the flavors even better. The Caesar salad, with dressing on the side as I requested, was also fantastic, great portion size, perfect for sharing. The place isn’t very busy yet, likely because it’s new, but don’t let that fool you. The food quality is outstanding. The owner and staff are friendly and attentive, and the small parking area in front makes it convenient. If you’re passing by and want a great burger, Hungry Dude is definitely worth a stop. I’ll definitely be back and hope to see this place thrive!

We came in because of the good reviews and were not disappointed. The staff were super nice (way more than usual). The food was very yummy, the portions were big and the prices are reasonable. It seems like we were not hungry dudes as we couldn't finish everything. No worries, it will probably keep us not hungry for a couple of lunches.

I had the Dude double burger with bacon, and it was an absolute treat! The patties were juicy, cooked to perfection, and paired wonderfully with crispy, flavorful bacon. The cheese melted just right, adding a creamy richness to every bite. The fries were golden, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Altogether, it was a hearty, satisfying meal that hit all the right notes. Highly recommend for anyone craving a great burger experience!

I tried it last Monday, sorta on a whim, and I loved it so much that I went back 3 more times that week! The burgers are good, but the poutine is even better, huge portion for only $6 with crispy fries, real curds and lots of gravy. The workers are very hardworking and polite, service is super quick, and they accommodated us even though we came in right as they opened several times. Seating is good for a small location, the atmosphere inside is nice as well. Hungry dude will definitely be a frequent spot for me and my friends.

Awesome new smash burger place! Great prices, better service and hospitality. Exceedingly friendly and fast! Plus the "Dude Burger" was out of this world too. The Shawarma Poutine was also delicious; under an absolute mountain of chicken. Highly recommended.

I don’t normally go out of my way for reviews but the customer service at this restaurant is amazing, they’re super nice and respectful and the burgers are amazing , i got the poutine as well so I’ll attach the photo but the burger was real yummy i forgot to take a picture 😭 would definitely recommend. Halal food as well so it’s amazing to have something so close

Hungry Dude may be small, but it delivers big on flavour! This cozy diner serves up some of the best-tasting food I’ve had in a while. The meat is incredibly tender and delicious, and their prices are hard to beat for the quality you get. The place is also very clean, which adds to the overall great experience. Best burger in Hamilton hands down. The size, the price, the bun, the freshness, second to none. The poutine is fire! Crispy fries. The shawarma is $7.50 and comes on a nice bun and is delicious. The beefsteak sandwich is very good as well. If you haven't been yet what are you waiting for?
