Hinote Sushi

This use to be one of my favorite places for sushi but it declined quite significantly in terms of quality and service. The sushi and salmon roll pieces were way too small with some sushi having an off smell (lacking freshness) (I ordered Hinote entrée). The bill was brought immediately after we finished (we didn't ask for the bill yet) making us feel rushed and the place wasn't busy. The lady was nice to offer us more tea though after I said that we didn't ask for the bill yet. But I would think twice before coming here.

This definitely is one of the best sushi places in the area. Service was excellent, the place looks neat and clean to the extreme point. Food was just awesome. I wish could try all they are to offer in the menu. :)

One of the best if not THE best spicy salmon rolls ever. Amazing staff very kind and friendly. Food is consistent been coming here for 6 years now. Spicy bulgogi is also great, but the spicy salmon upgrade to that always!

Went at lunch on Saturday not busy. Sushi was fresh. Soup and salad good too. Service was great. Nice sushi la a carte restaurant. They have lunch menu that is well priced. Can add up ordering a la carte items.

I ordered the medium party tray (sushi and sashimi). I really did not like their sashimi and nigiri. The nigiri used very little rice as well. Their fish did not taste very fresh. Having said that, The rolls were fine. Out of all sushi places I have tried in Mississauga, this place is my least favourite. They do have good service and also a great atmosphere.

My new favourite sushi restaurant in Mississauga! The sashimi and sushi is unbelievably fresh, and my personal favourite was the tuna which was so rich and velvety. Really nice, clean presentation too. I also got the spicy seafood udon soup, and it was equally as delicious. It’s not that spicy in my opinion, but I didn’t really mind since the flavour was still really good. You can really taste the seafood in the broth, of which they include several pieces of shrimp and one piece of mussel. The service was extremely fast and friendly. Portions are quite large which makes it perfect for sharing as well. Definitely recommend!

Korean owned lovely sushi restaurant. Closed Sundays. Large sized sushi rolls. Great selection. Lunch, dinner and platters available. Alcohol available. Seats 40 Great quality and fresh sushi and sashimi, great service, lovely environment. Lots of parking.

Been coming to Hinote for many years now. Cozy and intimate restaurant. Their spicy salmon rolls are amazing! Friendly and fast service. Never a disappointment! Above is a review I wrote in 2019. Here is the 2024 update: I’ve had a few visits this year and can honestly say “shrinkflation” seems to be a major issue. I was waiting to write a review after a few more visits because I wanted to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but it seems that Hinote is consistently inconsistent with portions. I ordered the Box #4 today with a $2 upgrade for spicy salmon rolls. You can see the amount of salmon is different with each roll. Unfortunately I will be changing my 5 star review to 2 stars as “shrinkflation” continues to be an issue at this restaurant. I also noticed the amount of bulgogi is slowly becoming less and less every time I order this box. Sad to see a restaurant I’ve been coming to for over 15 years slowly decline.
