The fish is light, seasoned well and filling. We always enjoy grabbing fish suppers to go, like we did when we lived in Scotland. Our kids like the meat pies and chips. The restaurant is clean and he’s always so friendly when we visit. Our favorite fish and chips in Newmarket

We just moved to Newmarket & were looking for a good fish & chips restaurant. The name grabbed our attention. We were very pleased with our whole experience. Very clean, nice atmosphere, excellent service & most important food was great!

not sure if I went in on an off day. fish was a bit tough but okay. the fries had the texture of a boiled potato that got dipped in oil. absolutely no crisp. they're not even like fries that got stale. they're literally soft limp strips of undercooked soggy potato.

Have been living in Newmarket for 4 years, walked behind this place yesterday and it smelled SO good I came in today for the haddock and chips special as well as the 6.5 oz house burger and guys. For $22 and change for both. I'm blown away, try it if you're feeling hungry. It will not and did not disappoint. Absolutely incredible.

Nice quiet place tucked away in the cirner of a plaza. Super friendly chef/owner. Been coming here now for years. Great place to go on a lazy day to unwind, and know the proportions are decent, price is affordable, and quick after order. Cheers.

3.5/5, atmosphere was a bit cold and quiet. The food was comforting and cozy, I had the cod and chips: the tempura was particularly crispy, but the fries were a little underwhelming. Clam chowder was simple but delicious, and service was kind. Considering the atmosphere, I find the prices to be a little expensive, but the variety of options and tasty food makes up for it.

We went for dinner with our young grandsons and were quite pleased. The owner was extremely hospitable and the place was immaculate. I had shrimp and onion rings and C had fish with a Caesar salad. C said the fish was the best she has had in a long time and she quite enjoyed the salad since the garlic didn't knock her over. The shrimp was lightly battered, which was nice, and there was almost no shell, which was great. The only complaint was that the shrimp was a bit overcooked. The onion rings were excellent. A bit pricey to go on a regular basis, but we'll definitely go back when we want a treat.

We visited this restaurant for a quick lunch. The cheese burger, the beef burger and the chips are very nice. The burger is juicy. fantastic. The fried chips are thick and tasty and not oily. Nicely done. The chef is super polite and gentle. Social distancing is strictly observed. The washroom is very clean.
