Golden Maki Japanese Restaurant

A little more expensive than other all-you-can-eat restaurants in Toronto, like Ichiban sushi in North York. Service was good enough for Newmarket but again we have seen better. Food quality was so-so, Sashimi was low quality, octopus tempura was uncooked, and beef sashimi was tasteless. The only good thing was the presentation as you can see in the pictures. We will drive to North York for sushi from now on.

We went to this place on Thursday, July 11th, for dinner. Sindy was our server, and she offered us great service. The food quality was very good and fresh, although the green dragons didn't seem to be as fresh as the other dishes. A very special thanks to Sindy for making us consider coming back to this place again. Best wishes and thank you.

Came here for AYCE lunch on a Thursday around 12pm. Place was decently busy, I would say 7 tables were dining in. Been here a couple times and food is always good and there are bunch of different options for sushi, apps, fried rice, udon noodles, tempura, teriyaki, and more. Service is good, but they forgot to bring out some rolls we ordered a couple times, all good though since its AYCE you can just re-order, a small hassle sometimes though when it gets busy. Other than that can't complain, one of the better AYCE sushi places in Newmarket for sure.

Dined in saturday for dinner, not really busy, nice cozy place. Food is very good and tasty, alot of selections on the menu specially the rollls. Price is normal as other sushi places. The only part I didnt enjoy was food takes a bit long to come out and servers were not that polite that night, they bring the food and juat drop it on the table and at the end they just brought us the bill while we still eating. Overall it was great and will definitely go back.

Came for mother's day lunch with My family on Sunday. A bit of a wait as it was a busy day but was seated promptly after guests had left. Cute and cozy atmosphere and friendly servers. The place is clean, washrooms are a little dated but not an issue for us. Food was great, we were missing out fried rice but we were stuffed so didn't bother asking for it. They have a larger selection of desserts compared to other places I have been. On the menu it will indicate (1) piece so be prepared for that as in, you will get 1 tempura if you order that for the table not 1 basket of it. I liked that concept as you are able to try more without committing to a whole dish of something you may not like. overall we really enjoyed it, price is reasonable if not cheaper than other ayce sushi.

My family took me here for my birthday. The staff was friendly and the food was top quality. My kids loved the sizzling steak and chicken. The dragon rolls and poached salmon were fresh and delicious. The beer and white wine was ice cold. Our new Favourite Sushi place in Newmarket. Thank you!

Restaurant was only half full. For Acye the quantity you order is never what you actually get. Waited at least 30 minutes for one of our orders. Instead of having someone walk around asking if water or tea needs to be filled every 5 minutes, maybe hire more chefs to keep up with the food demand. For the price they charge, definitely not worth it. If it wasn't for a family dinner, we would not come here otherwise. Quality of food has been consistently mediocre. This place used to be good but has gone downhill over the years.
